Hunter by Night (Chronicles of Yavn)
She wants out
Party girl Alexia Blackburn is only hanging around the vampire compound until her best friend—the queen—has her baby. After that, nothing is going to stop Alexia from getting back to daylight, safety, and feeling like a normal human being. But leaving the vampire world has one big catch…
He needs her to stay
Head of vampire security Lee Goram has hated and distrusted humans for centuries. Feeding on vampire blood has kept him strong…but now it’s killing him—and he’s horrified to discover that Alexia may hold the key to his cure. He’d rather die defending his king than admit his weakness, but time is running out for the great vampire warrior…
Hunter by Night is the final book in the Chronicles of Yavn trilogy. Lee is a centuries-old, human-hating vampire, and Alexia is the vampire queen’s human best friend. They’ve been dancing around each other for the entire series now, so I’m excited to finally give them their HEA.
Are you attending any conventions in 2014? If so, what are the top three reasons as to why you like/choose them?
I just got back from RT, which I love because it’s the largest reader-focused con. Coming up I’ll be attending the Frederick Book Festival on June 28th and the Philly Author Fest, which is a huge multi-author signing in King of Prussia, on November 8th. I’ll also be at the Liberty States Fiction writers con in New Jersey coming up in March, and Sylvia Day will be the keynote speaker, so I’m pretty excited about that one. Aside from RT, all of these cons are within driving distance of home, and they’re smaller events that allow me more time to connect with readers. I love the low-key events for that reason.
What is your favorite romance genre and what author makes you absolutely swoon?
I think my favorites are paranormal and contemporary – I read mostly adult and new adult, but also YA is a lot of fun, especially paranormal YA. Because high school wasn’t bad enough, you gotta throw in super powers and whatnot.
What is your dream vacation spot?
Anywhere warm, where I can relax with a good book. I’m easy.
What do you think has been the most important moment or event of your life so far? And why do you feel that way?
The birth of my youngest child was huge. I decided to have him at home, which might sound like insanity but it was so empowering. His birth was peaceful, and it was during the recovery from his birth that I decided to start writing, so I mark my career by his birthdays, which makes those milestones extra special.
Is there anything else you would like our readers to know?
My readers are amazing and I adore them.
Boxers or Brief
Manscape or Not
I like a natural looking guy, but a handsome man is a handsome man.
Lights On or Lights Off
I’m good with either.
Summer or Winter
Summer. I hate to be cold!
Peanuts or Chocolate
Batman or Superman
The Voice or American Idol
Christmas or Birthday
Heels or Flats
Either, if they’re pretty
Talk or Text
Talk! I wish people would talk more these days!
Action Movie or Comedy
I love both, but gun to my head I usually choose comedy. It’s nice to laugh.
Facebook or Twitter
I’m kind of a Twitter junkie, but honestly I spend too much time on social media. Facebook, twitter, pinterest, goodreads… you name it
