Mallory Sullivan grew up in foster care and has had to work hard for everything in her life. Having just moved to New York City and living with her best friend Paige, her life is exciting. To top it off, she is about to start a new job at one of the top companies in the world, The Osbourne Corp, where she will be one of three interns in the accounting department. What Mallory doesn’t know is that she is about to meet the man who will not only change her life sexually but that she’s been the star of his fantasies for years.

After seeing Mallory for the first time years ago, Miles Osbourne fell in love with her but he couldn’t do anything about it, one because she was too young at the time and two, he wanted everything to be in place so that he could provide her with anything her heart desired. Now years later it’s time for all of his plans to come to fruition and to finally claim Mallory as his own. Finally being able to be so close to her, is causing him to make mistakes before he is ready to show his hand. He is desperate and hopes that his missteps don’t lose him the woman that he has come to love so deeply.

Everything For Her is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading from Alexa Riley and to be honest the storyline had me hesitant, but I’m really glad I did. Once I started, I was sucked into a world of wants and desires that ran deep within characters that were very likable and a man that would do truly anything to get the woman he’s loved from afar for so very long.

To be honest while reading Everything For Her, Miles started off as the creepy/borderline stalker type. I didn’t understand the obsession he had in wanting Mallory so much when I’m sure he could have had any woman he wanted, after all he’s good looking, rich and very powerful. But as I read further into Everything For Her, I found Miles to be sweet and not creepy at all. The things Miles did for Mallory were endearing and ranged from the smallest, simplest gestures to being outrageously and over the top at times. One thing I was never in doubt of was that Miles was completely, one hundred percent, in love with Mallory.

I liked Mallory from the very beginning; apart from being smart and a hard worker, she was just a simple girl trying to make it on her own. She wasn’t flashy or looking for someone to take care of her, in fact when she meets Miles for the first time I was surprised how much she tried to resist him.

Everything For Her is sweet, sexy and everything I love in a romance. I thoroughly enjoyed that it’s written in dual povs but would have liked to have seen more of Miles pov as the story was unfolding. Ms Riley delivered a book that is truly unforgettable and I’m already anticipating the next book in the For Her series. It looks like Mallory’s roommate and best friend, Paige, is the next book in the series and I can’t wait for her story. Confession time, right after I read Everything For Her I started it again immediately, that’s just how much I loved it! I Joyfully Recommend Everything For Her and hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

I have read a few of Pamela Clare’s I-Team books and I just love her writing, but I had no idea that she had a new series out so when I saw Slow Burn I knew I had to read it. The blurb just sealed the deal because it just sounded like something I would like and oh boy was I right. It looks like the Colorado High Country series is just the opposite of the I–Team series, it’s more of a romance and less suspense but Ms. Clare still won me over and already has me wanting more.

Victoria Woodley is back in Scarlet Springs, Colorado for her best friend Lexi’s wedding. There is a week of activities planned before the big day and the more time she spends with Eric, the best man, the more she falls for him. Since she was recently hurt by her ex she has sworn off men but there is something about Eric that calls to her. Victoria knows she is only there for a week and then has to return to her real life, but she can have a good time with him when she is there or will she end up getting hurt again?

From the moment Eric Hawke met Victoria he knew he wanted her but he knows there is more to her than meets the eye. When his best friend warns him not to get involved with her because she just went through a hard time Eric is desperate to know what happened, but every time it comes up someone always interrupts them. Falling for Victoria wasn’t a part of his plan, after all he is pretty busy running the fire house and being part of the search and recuse team. He knows that she is leaving in a week but that’s not enough time to fall in love, right?

Victoria and Eric were the dream couple, they fall in love when neither is looking for it. Their romance grows naturally, moving from burning chemistry to an everlasting love. Watching it unfold was the best part of reading Slow Burn. I enjoyed every minute of getting to know these two characters and watching the changes and growth they both went through. Eric might have had a playboy reputation but when he comes to realize she is everything that he didn’t know he was missing was swoon worthy and had me rooting for them all the way.

The secondary characters weren’t center stage yet they still held a presence that had me wondering who they were and if they would be getting their own stories in the future. Since I haven’t read the first book in the Colorado High Country series that is definitely something I will be rectifying as soon as possible. Ms. Clare has a way with writing descriptions, they were so vivid I felt as if I was in Scarlet Springs and participating in all the outdoor activities the wedding party were taking part in. The town and the people had me wanting to pack up my life and move their as soon as possible. They were all close, stood together and were welcoming to newcomers.

Slow Burn was low on drama and high on emotions with just the right amount of hot, sexy and sweet. Slow Burn is a stellar read that I highly recommend, Ms. Clare’s characters do not disappoint and I’m already eager for the next installment in this series.

When I first started the Hellcat Canyon series I had no idea what to expect because I had never read a story by Julie Anne Long before but of course after reading and falling in love with Hot in Hellcat Canyon I already knew I had to get my hands on Wild at Whiskey Creek. While the wait seemed long I can tell you this book was damn well worth the few months of waiting. I am a total sucker for friends to lovers stories and I have made that known constantly, but Ms. Long brought a freshness to this story and for that reason I have to say this has to be one of my favorite books this year, hands down.

Glory is a talented singer and she knows it. That’s why she has money saved to get out of Hellcat Canyon, but what she didn’t plan on was having to help her family keep their house after her brother goes to jail. The worst part? His best friend and the man she has loved since his seventeenth birthday put him there. Going from love to dislike takes a lot out of a girl but Glory is pushing ahead. She may not get the guy or the career that she wanted but nothing is going to stop her from trying.

Eli hated having to put his best friend away and every day he lives with the reminder. It also doesn’t help that Glory is still in town when he knew she should be gone making her dreams come true. After all, he is one of the people who always believed in her and wanted her to share her gift. Their friendship is strained and he would do anything to get it back, but for now the little barbs they trade will have to be enough until one of them finally changes the game.

Wild at Whiskey Creek was more than enjoyable; it was sweet, funny, and had characters I will forever remember. From the very first introduction to these characters I knew I was in for the ride of a lifetime. I really liked how long Eli and Glory had known each other for. During the story Ms. Long gives bits and pieces of their past while they were growing up and just from that I could see the strong connection these two had. Eli is a confident man but when it comes to Glory he is anything but confident and it shows every time he is near her. He doesn’t come off as a man who is scared of anything but he is worried that he wouldn’t be enough for her. Glory is one of my favorite heroines of all time. She is witty, feisty and while she always seems put together on the outside it doesn’t always match how she feels on the inside.

I love a good tension between the hero and the heroine and these two definitely had it throughout the entire story. While the romance between the two takes time I didn’t mind because the pages were filled with tons of chemistry, humor and a few sexy kisses that would have almost knocked me off my feet if I had been standing. Everyone loves a good love scene, at least I do, so I was surprised that I didn’t notice that they didn’t have one until the ending. After the story ended I actually sat there and said no, this can’t be right but it was and I realized I didn’t mind that Ms. Long saved it. It was everything I thought it would be and more. For me, if a story is really good I tend to forget about the couple having sex because the story just flows and this was just one of those stories that it didn’t matter if they did or not.

This was a great addition to this series and I could read Wild at Whiskey Creek over and over again and not get bored one bit. As a matter of fact I just finished it and already I’m ready to pick it up again. Normally I don’t recommend a lot of books but this is one I highly recommend for all romance lovers. If this isn’t on your to buy list I would rectify that right away because you won’t want to miss this one!

Maybe This Time is book two in the brand new Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow and I just fell in love with it. One of the first things that drew me to wanting to read Maybe This Time was the cover, then of course the blurb, I might not be a fan of hockey but I love reading about hockey players. Jackson and Abby won my heart from the very beginning and this is one series I will be keeping my eye on.

Abigail Jansen has just moved back home to Glenwood Falls, Colorado. With her divorce from Dean, a famous hockey player, coming to a close she just wants to start over with her nine year old daughter, Dani. It’s not going to be easy fitting in around her hometown again. All her old friends never left and have almost the perfect lives and she feels like a failure returning ten years later to live with her parents and all with no job. But on the plus side she has left her cheating ex in the rearview mirror. Abigail knows she is going to run into Dean’s best friend, Jackson, sooner rather than later but she would rather it be later since the man has never been kind to her. When Dani tries out for the junior hockey team and makes it she knows that she will be seeing Jackson more, but is Abigail ready to move on and live the life she left behind all over again?

Coming from a hockey family, Jackson Westmore always dreamed of being in the NHL but he never made it. Now he is the coach of junior league hockey and this year they are allowing girls to try out. When Abby’s daughter Dani tries out and makes the team, Jackson knows they have to meet a common ground and get along, but that’s not really the problem. He can remember the day he fell in love with Abby but ever since then he’s been nothing but cold to her, especially when she starting dating his best friend, Dean. Now that she is back in Glenwood Falls and single again he has a second chance to finally tell her how he feels. But when a lifetime opportunity he never expected pops up Jackson wonders if he will have to choose which second chance he will take, because both are what he’s longed for.

I just loved Maybe This Time, it was sweet and everything I love in a romance. Ms. Snow gave the right amount of Jackson and Abby’s backstory which helped their current situation come off as more realistic. I really enjoyed getting little glimpses of what they were like when they were kids and teenagers. I thought Jackson started off a little on the cold side but once the story started to develop I could see how head over heels in love he was with Abby and was shocked on how long he has been feeling this way. Ms. Snow has a talent for creating characters who are intelligent, funny and sexy, while still giving readers an epic story.

There were a few times I wanted to yell at Jackson to get his head out of his ass, but the little process he made from time to time was sweet and showed how bad he really had it for Abby. Abby was a little on the cautious side on getting involved again so soon but I couldn’t blame her, I mean she is in the middle of a divorce, starting her life over and has a daughter to raise. I don’t want to give too much away but there is a scene with Abby and Jackson’s sister, Becky and Becky mentions a third box that Jackson made and wondering where it went. I actually teared up on this part because Jackson was nothing like how Abby saw him and seeing him through different eyes was just one of the most memorable scenes in Maybe This Time.

Maybe This Time was a heartfelt story and already has me yearning for more. We also meet Jackson’s professional hockey player brothers, Ben and Asher, who I am definitely looking forward to getting to know better. I have read a few of Ms. Snow’s other books but by far Maybe This Time is my favorite and I can’t wait for the world to get to know Abby and Jackson. I highly recommend Maybe This Time if you are a lover of second chance romance stories like I am. I think you’ll love it!

Evangeline Tregre is trying to leave her former life behind.  She wants nothing to do with the Leopard’s of Louisiana.  Evangeline is following her passion to San Antonio where she opened a bakery.  She is satisfied to start her days early and end them late baking for her customers.  However, she never counted on one of her customers disrupting her new quiet life.

Alonzo Massi is content to lead a life alone with his dangerous Amur Leopard.  He is coming up in the San Antonio mob scene.  The last thing Alonzo needs with the danger stalking closer is a woman.  One look at Evangeline and Alonzo’s life is changed forever.  He cannot run from the feelings she inspires. Can he romance her and protect her from his life?

Christine Feehan takes her readers on a fiery wild ride in Leopard’s Fury.  I could not get enough of this story.  I was addicted from page one!  Evangeline and Alonzo set the pages ablaze with their intense forbidden attraction.  Feehan’s characters are rich with provocative and poignant backstories.  I’m not sure there are two characters more worthy of a happy ending than Evangeline and Alonzo.  I became deeply attached to them both and could not wait for them to give in to the passion between them.

I cannot believe that Leopard’s Fury is the ninth book in Feehan’s Leopard’s series.  It is not necessary to have read the previous novels to follow this one but it does make it much sweeter.  I love when characters from past novels show up in new ones and this one is full of juicy stories from beloved Leopard series characters.

Leopard’s Fury is full of gritty suspense and romance.  This one will keep you on your toes.
