Will she risk it all for a priceless desire?

A rising star in one of London's top art investigation firms, Zara Leighton's talent for seeing deep into paintings is in her blood. She's chosen to help track down Icon, an enigmatic international art thief whose heists are methodical, daring, baffling. To Zara the case is maddening—bordering on an obsession.

She finds distraction in the chiseled form of top-shelf client Tobias Wilder, a magnetic American billionaire who demands her expertise, her discretion—and her secrecy. Wilder doesn't ask questions. He gives orders. His gaze alone ignites her deepest fantasies. And his touch…

The sudden whirl of exclusive exhibitions and decadent parties that Wilder introduces her to is a potent aphrodisiac. But surrender soon becomes tinged with suspicion. Is Zara's tryst with Wilder the real thing…or just a convincing forgery?

I love, love, love Vanessa Fewings first ICON novel, The Chase!!! I’m not sure when an ending has left me so desperate for the next book in a series.  I’m about to die in anticipation of The Game!

The Chase is a mix of The Thomas Crown Affair and The Catch.  It’s a high speed romantic adventure that shouldn’t be missed.  Ms. Fewings fuels her characters with sexual chemistry, wits and tenacity.  Zara and Tobias have that instant connection that all of us crave.  Their passion for art is just as sexy as the passion they share in the bedroom! Tobias will absolutely get your motor running with his gorgeous body and scintillating mind but things quickly go into overdrive when he starts giving orders.  Zara is a charming and brilliant character who tugs at your heartstrings.  She is vulnerable without being helpless.  As the story progresses Zara really finds herself in the deep end and it tests her in ways she never expected.  Her journey is thrilling and highly entertaining. I love a story filled with intense emotion and The Chase has that in spades.

The Chase is a decadent treat that shouldn’t be missed.  The intrigue and suspense is palpable as Tobias and Zara are drawn deeper into the dark side of the art world. The mystery surrounding Zara’s family paintings and the current art thefts give the reader a sense of urgency that only ramps up the sizzling romance between Tobias and Zara.

The ICON trilogy is about to go international in The Game and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Hope Thompson has never recovered from being left by the love of her life, Nick Fortune. The man who fathered her twin children. When her son becomes ill she is left no choice but to contact Nick for help. Something which ties her up in knots.

Nick Fortune has succeeded in life, becoming a famous race car driver. When Hope originally contacts him, he’s sure this is some kind of con. But after checking he realizes he does have two children that he’s never known. He’s beyond furious at Hope for never telling him about the twins and is determined to get to know them. However, as he does he finds that his feelings for Hope are still there and decides he wants to be a family. Can he convince Hope to give him another chance?

Boardwalk Summer is the first book I have read by Kimberly Fisk and I thoroughly enjoyed it. From the first page I wanted Hope to have the happy ending that had eluded her. And Nick still adored her and wanted to know his children. I loved watching Nick learn how to interact with teenage children, which is never easy! I do have one pet peeve, while Nick has gone on with his life, had other relationships etc…Hope has been frozen almost the same as when Nick left her. While I have no problem with Nick and Hope being each other’s soul mate, it drives me crazy when the heroine of any story has no relationships while the hero dates all around. Kimberly Fisk has written a sweet romance with a happy ending that will keep me on the look out for new books she writes.  I love a romance that leaves me with a smile on my face!

Julie Ann Walker finally gives fans the book they have been waiting impatiently for featuring beloved hero Ethan “Ozzie” Sykes.  Wild Ride is well, a Wild Ride from start to finish.  Ozzie has always been the sarcastic, funny guy with a heart of gold.  He has appealed to me and many others since the beginning of the Black Knight’s Inc. series.  Wild Ride is book nine so it’s been a bit of a wait and well worth it. Reporter Samantha Tate is the perfect woman to wrangle Ozzie and steal his heart.  I love books where the hero and heroine have chemistry in the bedroom and these two do but what I like more is their humorous yet serious banter.

Ozzie and Samantha are both dedicated to their jobs and unfortunately that puts them at odds since Ozzie is supposed to keep Samantha from discovering the real work Black Knight’s Inc. does.  Thankfully, life sometimes forces people to confront their feelings and evaluate what is important in life.

Samantha is hysterically funny at the beginning when she…I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say she is electrifyingly determined to save her own butt. Ms. Walker knows how to throw her characters into a serious situation and make it funny without losing the intensity in Wild Ride.

The suspense plot in Wild Ride is great but the exploration of Ozzie and Samantha’s interpersonal relationship steals the show. Wild Ride has the right stuff! Wild Ride is a hold on to the seat of your pants and your heart read!  Walker can always be counted on to keep you entertained throughout her books and keep you coming back for more.  Nine books down in the Black Knight’s Inc. series and I for one am looking forward to more.

Since they were both named Sexiest Woman and Sexiest Man, Juliet and Felix weren’t happy about it, for different reasons of course! For Felix, he isn’t ready to show the world his life after an accident left him in a wheelchair. For Juliet, she’s tired of all of things that come with being a movie star and isn’t looking forward to this. But when Felix and Juliet meet, the sparks fly. However Felix hasn’t really accepted his new circumstances and Juilet is dealing with a stalker that always seems to know where to find her. Can they find their way around the obstacles to the wonderful and real relationship that seems to be waiting for them?

Jamie Howard is a new author for me and I liked the fact that the hero had to deal with such a life changing event. Add to that the silent presence of Juliet’s stalker and you have an interesting and fun read. While I have to admit that The Feeling of Forever did leave me wanting a bit more in way of storyline, I still enjoyed every minute of it. I’ll be looking for more stories from Jamie Howard’s Love Unplugged series!

Silver Mercant has a full card with her dual jobs of being the director of the Emergency Response Network known as EmNet and as the senior aid to Kaleb Krychek.  She really doesn’t have time the for bear who keeps asking her for an ice cream date.  Yet, when an assassination attempt is made on Silver, it is that same bear who not only saves her life, but finds the way the attempt was made.  When it’s time for Silver to “disappear” from the public eye for a while, it’s just her luck that the place she is sent is to the very home of her persistent bear suitor.

Valentin Nikolaev is the Alpha of the StoneWater bear clan in Russia and while he has the same overall attitude as most bears, when it comes to protection for those under his care or those he loves (sometimes one and the same), there is no doubt about why Valentin is the Alpha.  Valentin has been attracted to Silver since he first saw her, and he is determined to show her that they could be an item if she would only give it a chance.  All Silver’s constant refusals do is fuel his determination.  When Silver is moved into the StoneWater clan home, Valentin knows he will never have a better chance to prove to Silver his love and how they belong together.

Silver starts out as just mystified by how the bears live and go through their day-to-day activities, but as she is exposed to life in the clan and sees Valentin in action, it becomes harder and harder to stick with her silent leanings.  Valentin is even amazed at how good he and Silver are once she gives their attraction a chance to become love.  What Valentin never expected is a fight that Silver has kept secret and how her feelings have become a danger to her.  So as Silver and Valentin hunt the person or people behind her attack, all while exploring the love that has sprung up between them, they both are working on figuring out a way to solve the worst danger of all to Sliver and their love.  When Valentin convinces Silver to go for an all or nothing cure, it’s with the knowledge that he may lose his mate forever to silence or death.  The question is, can Silver and Valentin have their forever after or will their future die before they ever get the chance to reach for it?

Take one pushy and laid-back bear Alpha and one efficient and silent woman, throw in equal parts of danger, adorable bears and a passion that quickly turns to love, and you have just a bit of an idea of what Silver Silence is all about.  I quickly grew to love Valentin and saw just as fast on why, if anyone, could drag Silver out of her silence, it was him.  I will also say that I never thought anything would get Silver to leave the silence that she has lived with her entire life.  Watching as Valentin showed Silver just how good life could be when you included feelings, and especially love, was an adventure at every turn.  I also loved watching as Sliver fought and then gave up her attempt to not give in to her feelings. She was such a goner as soon as she moved into the clan home.

All of the things I have said above only covers the top layers of why I fell in love with Silver and Valentin’s story.  There are also times that made me want to cry and times when I laughed out loud.  This was a book that I turned around and re-read as soon as I finished it, and I discovered new elements that I had missed the first time.  If you ever wondered just how determined bears can be—Valentin not only won Silver’s love once, but he did it twice against all the odds against him.  How can you not love a man who can do that??  Silver Silence is definitely a Joyfully Recommend Read and has become one of my top favorites in the Psy-Changeling stories.  I can’t wait to see where this Trinity series is going to go next.
