So far this series contains 2 books: Across the Miles (The Not So Bad Boys of Rock #1) and Miles Apart (The Not So Bad Boys of Rock #2)
From the author of Across the Miles, comes the sequel to the love story of Sebastian and Brooke. Go back to the days after Brooke left for London, and find out what happened to place Sebastian in that hotel room with nothing but memories and a bottle of whiskey.
What happens to America’s favorite rock star when his picture perfect life falls apart? Again…
Sebastian and Brooke had a fairy tale romance, until one choice tore them apart. Brooke’s decision to move away and run Max Wolf’s struggling restaurant, Lardon’s, stands in the way of Sebastian’s plan to propose on the night of his birthday. They have a fight and he takes off, leaving her to board a plane to London without saying goodbye. While there, she meets Reid, a handsome chef who just happens to live in the same building she now calls home. Their newfound friendship, and Reid’s attraction to her, only adds to the strain on her already fragile relationship with Sebastian.
Then, one out of control night changes everything as they know it, and their relationship is put to the test. Now, do they fight for what they love? Or choose to walk away? Will facing your demons destroy you? Or make you stronger? Surely, a love that was meant to be can face any obstacle.
A force too strong to ignore. A need so deep it aches. Undying love.
A heart may be broken, but it keeps on beating. And never gives up.

Rhonda James Tens List
Topic Favorite Romance Couples of All Time
- Archer Hale & Bree Prescott (Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan)
For me, this one was a no-brainer. I fell in love with Archer from the first moment he stepped onto the scene. He’s lived a hard life, and been wounded deeply, but Bree’s voice, through her mouth and her hands, break through his carefully constructed walls and when he loves, he loves hard. Bree’s love for Archer seems to go just as deep, and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to prove herself worthy of his trust. I found myself lost in the pages of this one, and when it ended, I felt that a part of me was gone. Mia Sheridan stole a part of my heart with this one for sure.
- Hayden Stryker & Tenley Page (Clipped Wings by Helena Hunting)
OMG, these two are hot! Just the physical description of Hayden was enough to set my heart to racing, and then when he pursues the broken and badly damaged Tenley, I just wanted to step into the pages and become her for a few weeks. They are both deeply troubled, but no matter how hard she tries, resistance is futile. One touch of Hayden’s lips and she is done for. I’d like to think I would be too!
- Liam Dempsey & Natalie Gilcher (Consolation & Conviction by Corrine Michaels)
This one almost doesn’t require a reason. First off, it’s a Corrine Michaels novel. This woman doesn’t know how to write a bad book. Second, who doesn’t love a story about giving in to forbidden love? Liam comes to the rescue and the feelings he’s secretly carried for his best friend’s wife finally come to the surface. Natalie is lonely, and Liam is always there, caring for her and giving her what she so desperately misses. Before long, stares turn into to kissing, and kissing turns into some steamy sex. Corrine knows how to weave a great scene, and many times I had to put my Kindle down and fan myself.
- Christian Grey & Anastasia Steele (Fifty Shades of Grey Series by E.L. James)
It’s almost comical that I even bothered listing the book title and author, but I wanted to be fair. I picked up this series a couple years ago and within a months time I had read them all three times. Each time I read them I tried to pick up something new. While I’m not a huge fan of these two on the big screen, I did enjoy their story on paper (or Kindle). Like most women, I think I had an idea of what Christian should look like, and while handsome, Jamie Dornan just didn’t do it for me (unless you count the scene where he was in jeans and a leather jacket, or the all-too-brief glimpse you caught while he was undressing). I chose them for two reasons: I love a man that sees something he wants, and knows how to acquire it. I like a female character that’s willing to try anything once. This story was packed with both!
- Jimmy Ferris & Lena Morrissey (Lead by Kylie Scott)
Oh Jimmy, how I love thee. This book has got to be one of my all time favorites. It’s right up there in the Top 5 for sure. Kylie has a way of creating characters that make my heart rate increase dramatically, and my insides hurt from laughing so hard. The way Lena lusts after her famous boss is both heartbreaking and comical. She knows he is off limits, but when she tries to end her employment he demands to know why. When she admits her secret love he laughs in her face, then proceeds to try and prove to her why he is not the one for her. In the end, all he ends up proving is that she is the one he can’t live without.
- Gavin Garrison & Dixie Leigh Lark (Leaving Amarillo by Caisey Quinn)
Oh boy did I fall for this leading man! I loved the way Caisey baited the hook and then reeled me in, making me want more. I loved this book and found my eyes scanning each page for Gavin’s name to jump out at me. I loved when he was the star of the scene. His forbidden love for Dixie Leigh is heartbreaking. You don’t get his side of the story, but you can tell by his words, and his touch on her skin, that he’d love nothing more than to take her in his strong arms and claim her. I was really sad when this one ended, and I can’t wait to see if the author writes his story next! I want to be the first in line!
- Travis Maddox & Abby Abernathy (Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire)
I was a huge fan of the first book, mostly because I love a bad boy. I love how Travis saw Abby and was instantly drawn to her like a moth to a flame. She was everything he wasn’t, at least on the outside. When these two loved, they did it with passion. When they fought, they fought hard, and cut deep. When they needed each other the most, they were there to hold the other up. Their love may have been young, but it was beautiful.
- Kellen Kyle & Keira Allen (Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens)
These two… I think it’s obvious why one would choose to fall for Kellen Kyle, but Keira? She drove me absolutely insane with her wishy-washyness. (Yeah, I’m sure that’s not a word, but I’m trying to keep it clean here). The whole time I read the first book I was screaming at my Kindle, many times wishing I could throw it across the room. Will she stay with him? I’m not sure, I haven’t spent the additional $15 to finish the series. I’ve been told I need to keep going, but I’m not sure my heart can take much more. I do love Kellen though…
- Daniel Daniels & Ashlyn Jennings (Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy C. Cherry)
I love this author… I immediately fell for the way Daniel Daniels could turn a phrase. I loved the way he treated Ashlyn right from the start. The pain he felt upon realizing that she was one of his students, then giving in and loving her. Ugh! I found myself cheering them on the entire time. They both suffered through so much heartbreak in their lives, then to fall in love and lose that as well. It was too much…But still, not enough.
- Jesse Walker & Rowen Sterling (Lost & Found by Nicole Williams)
Something about this young couple really touched my heart. He’s a cowboy and she’s an artistic teenager who’s never been out of the city, doing everything she can to stand out, rather than fit in (as her mother would prefer). She’s sent away to help out on the Walker’s family ranch and while most boys look right through her, Jesse actually sees her, and he ‘gets’ her just the way she is. Watching them learn how to trust and love one another is a beautiful thing, and definitely worth reading.
