Brent Mason and Hayden Winstead can't stand each other. She plans exclusive parties for her rich family's charities. He's a rough and tumble cop who rigs explosives for a living. Could two people be any less suited for conversation? They think not and prefer to keep it that way.Unfortunately, their two best friends are deeply, disgustingly in love. Forced together, the mutual attraction simmering beneath the surface of Brent and Hayden's non-relationship grows with every argument until it explodes into a scintillating night of mind-blowing sex. And it won't be the last, as far as Brent's concerned.Hayden has a secret, though. Her father's company is relying on a merger to save them from financial ruin, and only Hayden's marriage to the CEO's wealthy son can secure the deal. If she's to protect her family, she'll have to forget Brent. And he has no intention of being forgotten.

He thinks she is a snob…

Brent Mason is a cop who plays with explosives during the day and a handy mechanic at night. Brent works two jobs trying to help his sister get through college.  He is a smooth operator with the ladies but his rough edges always get caught on his buddy’s wife’s best friend Hayden Winstead.

She thinks he is a jerk…

Hayden Winstead spends much of her days giving back to society.  She knows what it’s like to be on the receiving side of charity.  Her “father” is actually her uncle. He took her and her mother in when she was a child.  He raised her as his own and offered her a life most only dream of.  Now she does what she can to make others’ lives better. Not much gets to Hayden but there is something about Brent Mason that causes her inner witch to come out.

Opposites attract…

Brent and Hayden finally decide to take their aggression out on each other and once they do there is no going back.  One night turns into more as Brent and Hayden discover the passion that lies underneath but these two opposites have more to overcome than their attitudes.  Can these two overcome the roadblocks standing between them? Find out in Asking For Trouble.

Tessa Bailey outdoes herself in the latest Line of Duty novel, Asking For Trouble.  I didn’t think Officer Off Limits could be topped but Ms. Bailey brings on the heat and emotion with Brent and Hayden’s story in Asking For Trouble.  I actually began reading this in the car on the way to a short weekend vacation.  Which wasn’t the greatest idea since I then had to wait to finish for two whole days!! I couldn’t wait to get back to Brent and Hayden’s romance because it is simply fantastic.  So when I got home I dared anyone to bother me while I read. :)

Asking For Trouble pulled me in with the sexy aggressive fireworks between Brent and Hayden but it held me because of the deep emotions the characters were going through.  Brent is an aggressive alpha male who dominates in life but knows how to let a woman rule in the bedroom.  Hayden grows into her own throughout the novel.  She learns the power of control and love.  I love these two!  They have some of the hottest scenes I’ve read in a long time.  Asking For Trouble excited me because is it a love story, there are no big action scenes or paranormal hubbub.  Ms. Bailey’s saucy banter, delicious characters and sensual scenes make Asking For Trouble a five star novel.  Please keep the Line of Duty novels coming because it’s the best series I’ve read this year and I cannot wait for more!!
