A SHADOW IN THE WINDOW Nia Hollister doesn’t scare easily. She’s returned to Ash, Kentucky, with a vengeance—and with a mission: find the killer who brutally ended her cousin’s life. What she didn’t count on was trembling with desire every time she sees Law Reilly. If any man can help her escape the nightmares for a while, it’s him. But can she allow herself to take comfort in those strong arms when her sister’s killer still roams free? She may think she’s a bad ass, but she should not have come back tohistown. He is watching her—as she slips into Law Reilly’s house, as she storms into the sheriff’s office. These men won’t be able to protect her when her time comes. Timing is everything, though he can’t wait forever. She’s nosing around the woods, looking for his hiding place. Yes, he is watching her . . . through the window . . . in her bed . . . If she’s not scared, she should be . . . because he is very good at what he does.
Nia Hollister cannot get over the death of her cousin. She should be able to put this to rest since they found the person responsible for the ghastly murder but that’s the problem. Nia doesn’t believe that the killer has been found. Nia believes he’s still out there stalking women and she’s determined to find out the truth.
The last time Law Reilly saw Nia Hollister she had a gun pointed at him. As strange as it sounds he hasn’t been able to forget the woman and not for the reason you think. Law is undeniably drawn to Nia. Once she comes back to town to find the truth surrounding her cousin’s death, Law cannot stay away. He must test this attraction between the two of them, and if helping her cause gets him access to her then he’s more than willing.
It doesn’t take long for the citizens of Ash, Kentucky to realize that things are not as they seem. A murderer has been lurking in their midst for a while and it’s up to Nia, Law and the new sheriff to follow the clues.
It’s a dangerous time to be in Ash. Not everyone will come out alive in this the final installment of Shiloh Walker’s remarkable Ash Trilogy. As the wickedly suspenseful If You Know Her starts begin praying that your favorite characters survive this sadistic killer because things are about to become dire in Ash.
Nia and Law’s passion leave scorch marks on the pages of If You Know Her. I’m totally in love with these two. I love their adventure together and I also enjoyed the interaction between Nia and Law’s best friend, Hope. I love Nia’s relentless pursuit of justice for her cousin and Law’s belief in her. It’s no secret that I have become enamored with the couples that reside in the Ash Trilogy but I cannot get enough of this gripping and sometimes grotesque plot line. Ms. Walker gives the reader a very intimate look at a brutal killer. This is something that I usually do not care for, but Ms. Walker manages to compel my attention thoroughly even through the hard to read spots.
I definitely recommend that you read the first two books in this trilogy before If You Know Her. What makes this series so much more phenomenal is the way that one book ends and the next immediately picks the story up. It’s important to read the previous books not only because you get to know the sensational couples but your suspect pool grows as well. It’s hard to believe a killer lies within this sleepy little town. Weeding through the possible suspects makes this adventure grand. I must say that I was not disappointed in how this story finished! Ms. Walker ends her electrifying Ash Trilogy with a hell of a bang!
If You Know Her amps up the intrigue and romance taking the reader an unforgettable enthralling journey they won’t soon forget.
