Shay Appleton has not had an easy or calm upbringing.  But she has taken charge of her life and is now moving forward with plans for what to do next.  She has her Prince Charming (ok so he is a German shepherd) and has retreated to a place where she has always been able to think.  All she has to do is to get rid of her stalker ex-boyfriend (yet another mistake in her life) and back to work.  Prince is the best thing that has ever happened to her and she will do whatever she has to, to keep him when suddenly James Cannon shows up at her doorstep claiming she stole him.

James Cannon is former militaryman and has been searching for his best friend and partner for a month.  When he is lead to the secluded cabin where Shay is staying he knows he has found Bogart (Prince).  What he doesn’t count on is the woman who has him, or her accusations that he tried to have Bogart destroyed and abandoned him.  But, he definitely is attracted to her grit.

The more the two spend time together it is obvious that the dog isn’t the only thing drawing them together.  But, when suddenly Shay seems to not only have a stalker but someone who means to do bodily harm to her can they work together, and trust each other so they are stronger, or will the past come back to haunt one of them?  Danger seems to come from multiple sources in Irresistible Force but the author has done a fine job in showing how a growing love can conquer all.  Action packed with a cute canine and a hot alpha man, what more can one ask for in a story?  Therefore this is a Joyfully Recommended Read for me 🙂
