Paige Walker has been in love with Jake since the moment she met him at the tender age of 17 in her hospital room.  He is the only person who does not treat her as a fragile being due to her medical condition.  Every since Jake’s rejection on her 18th birthday, Paige has convinced herself that Jake is nothing more than a friend.  Unbeknownst to Paige, Jake made a promise to his best friend/Paige’s brother that he would never become romantically involved with her.

Up until now, Jake Romano has managed to reign in his desire to pursue Paige.  But working with her on a daily basis is testing his limits and slowing breaking down the wall he has successfully managed to keep between them.  What begins as a way to give Paige and her friends a big break with starting their own company has now turned into a secret “sex only” affair between Jake and Paige.

Will Paige be able to convince Jake that love is worth the risk or will Jake end things before Paige can claim his heart?

Sleepless in Manhattan is an engaging tale that I did not want to end.  From start to finish, I was completely captivated by the element of Paige and Jake’s love affair.  The storyline is intriguing and has various moments of surprising occurrences which only added more fuel to the fire.  The secondary characters (Paige’s two best friends) are well developed and offer great build-up for exciting storylines to come.  Combined with the mega-hot sexual tension between Paige and Jake, Sleepless in Manhattan is the perfect romantic read that will pull at your heartstrings with the turn of each page.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a passion-filled romance with remarkable characters and a superb plot.  I cannot wait for the remaining two stories within this splendid trilogy.
