NYPD sniper Matt Donovan is the strong silent type. When he is asked to pick up his best friend’s little sister from college he agrees. However, it is the last thing he wants to do. He arrives to discover instead of his friend’s sister her roommate; a vixen that makes Matt hot and bothered in all the right places. How is he going to handle hours in the car with her?
Lucy Mason is sad her roommate ditched her and now she has to ride back to the city with her brother’s cop friend. Things change when she sees how deliciously hot her brother’s friend is. Knowing he wouldn’t give her a chance, she poses as her roommate and quickly devises a plan to seduce him!
Attraction sparks in all the right places! What will Matt do when he discovers the woman driving him wild is actually his best friend’s little sister? Will they be enemies for life or find everlasting love?
I love love love Tessa Bailey’s Line of Duty Novels and I am so sad that this is the last in the series. However, in Staking His Claim Ms. Bailey sends her wonderful characters out with a bang! Matt and Lucy make the words on the page dance a sexy tango. Ms. Bailey seduces her readers with passionate characters and real life scenarios. I could absolutely feel the frustration and attraction from Matt when he discovered the woman he had been with is not who he thought. This is one of the things I love about these novels. It is hard for a writer to make her readers feel what the characters do but Ms. Bailey does it magically. Staking His Claim weaves beautifully sensual scenes with strong characters and smart plotlines. In other words, it’s fanta-bulous! 🙂
