"Lance Fitz and Andrew Reed are a blissfully mated pair, but Andrew’s benefactor Stephon, a born vampire, isn’t happy with the pairing, especially after he discovers Lance’s pedigree. Stephon attempts to find answers using his mental connection with Andrew, and when his efforts fail, he goes after Lance’s new shifter family. Enraged, Lance severs the tie to Stephon. He wants to tear apart the abusive vampire and free his mate and family for good. But before he can try, the family reminds Lance that the death of one vampire won't change the social status of shifters as an enslaved people. The fight won’t end with Stephon, even if Lance succeeds."
The tests are verified. There is no doubt that Lance Fitz is the last known pure blood in the shifter world. Mating with Andrew Reed two weeks ago has started changes within the wolf shifter as well. He will begin to share the special gifts of his mate Lance.
It’s been decided to keep Lance’s heritage as quiet as possible for as long as possible. There’s already been one attempt on the pure blood’s life. As more hear the news there will be further attempts to kill him. Eventually they will announce his existence so that Lance can claim Right of Rule and free all shifters from their vampire benefactors. But not quite yet. First they need to contact Andrew’s vampire benefactor, Stephon.
At one time Lance was a human runaway foster kid. Today he’s the savior of his people and mated to the hottest wolf on the planet. Staying alive and enjoying his new mate, no worries.
The complex world in the Changing Moon series explodes in passion and blood once again. Taking the next step puts Lance and Andrew in A Royal Bind of danger. Their sexual chemistry is incendiary and the machinations of an unknown enemy continues to shadow the lovers. A Royal Bind can be read as a standalone story, but that would cheat the reader of better understanding the characters. Their journey to free the shifter world has only begun.
