From the first moment she meets him, Maura Maxwell knows that Declan is something special.  But due to his sexual encounter popularity among what seems to be every woman in town, Maura refuses to be just another one in the midst of the crowd.  That is until Declan literally saves her life and worms his way into her heart.

Master Chief Declan Swifton does not have time for committed relationships.  As the leader of a SEAL team, he and his men are always on the go from one deadly mission to another.  Then, Maura Maxwell enters his life, making him contemplate on devoting his life to one special woman.  However, when tragedy strikes on his last mission, will Declan push Maura away because he believes that he is not worthy of her love since he is not the same man he used to be?

Whereas, I found the concept of A SEAL Forever to be great, I had a difficult time getting caught up in the whirlwind of Maura and Declan’s relationship.  I was expecting lots of action and fascination; however, I did not feel those coming through.  Their courtship started out kind of sluggish.  It was not until half way through the book after Declan returns from his latest secret mission that my interest is peaked to the point where I wanted to see how the couple’s romantic storyline would evolve.  While A SEAL Forever featured a devastation that pulled at my heartstrings, I felt that the action did not measure up to my expectations.
