It took long enough. Too long for Rick Barton to realize that his boyfriend was never going to change. The man enjoyed hitting him too much to ever stop. Leaving the home they shared and the company that employed them both was the smartest thing he’d done in a long time.
Rick takes an overdue unemployed vacation to contemplate the future. Intending to forgo any entanglements proves to be pointless when he comes across a sexy stud on the beach.
From an abusive relationship to becoming something unimaginable, Rick can’t believe what Travis Chandler has done to him. And he’s to work at the Paranormal Bureau of Investigation as his partner. Tossed into a world he’d never thought possible and expected to hit the ground running on a case because someone is murdering werewolf and vampire leaders. Talk about thrown into the deep end.
What an incredibly exciting balancing act of suspense and romance. A character driven mystery opens in A Tooth for a Fang and entertains on every level. Rick is smart and gun shy with good reason. Luckily he’s strong enough to handle a new life thrown at him from left field. Travis is easy to like and easy to imagine wringing his neck. Also, Rick is honest about his responsibility to the abuse he silently suffered, the guilt and self doubts. Then the layers of investigation, bumpy romance, and a pair of realistic partners make A Tooth for a Fang an instant, sincere charmer.
