Clouded Hell by J. R. Gray
Published by Self Published Genres: BDSM, Contemporary, MM
In one of the seedier wards of New Orleans lies Inferno. Owner Dante Bane rules supreme. The Dom is quietly known throughout the city for running one of the best illegal fighting clubs underneath his bar Inferno. People also whisper about his missing husband, Masen, who disappeared some time ago. Rumors believe Dante was involved, which couldn’t be further from the truth. His soul died the day Mason left. Dante only feels alive these days when he’s in the ring or handling a worthy submissive.
Remington Caci witnessed his father killing his own brother for being gay. Remi was eight. Caci Sr. is a powerful mob boss controlling Las Vegas like a king, a vicious king. As soon as Remi and his best friend Kai turned eighteen and had a few dollars between them they headed for Los Angeles. Remi has some breathing room, but the long reach of his father means there’s no real escape.
There are two reasons for Remi to visit New Orleans and Inferno. One is a possible business deal with Dante to supply fresh fighters for the ring. The other is more personal. Remi is a Dom to his sub Kai. He’s also a switch who’s dying inside, desperate for the right Dom. Once he meets Dante however, a lifetime won’t be enough for either man.
Clouded Hell hits the reader right between the eyes with raw, brutal sexual truths. Their story is told in first person point of view as Dante and Remi control different chapters. This is a no holds barred dark and edgy love story, definitely not for the faint of heart, though everything is consensual and each BDSM encounter is quote on quote ‘normal’. Dante and Remi’s souls are literally bleeding. It’s the only way to survive the pain they cannot express outwardly. No matter how primal, Clouded Hell is an excellent, intense story of love.
