So desperate to save her sick child, she's willing to make a deal with the Devil: steal a ring worn by Finn Payne, the bad-boy rockstar who long ago sold his soul for rock 'n roll. Temptation and seduction become necessary evils, yet Faith's salvation means Finn's damnation . . . because the ring is all that stands between him and Hell. Faith McFarland is desperate to save her child from the disgusting disease ravaging his body. The Devil offers her the deal of a lifetime; steal the ring of Rock Star Finn Payne, return it to him and he will make sure her son recovers fully. Faith doesn’t want to make a deal with the Devil but how can she not?
Finn Payne made his deal with the Devil years ago. When the Devil’s ring comes off his finger Finn will lose all that he holds dear. One night in the arms of Faith brings Finn a happiness he’s never known but how shocking to discover his precious ring and Faith gone when he awakes.
Finn is frantic to get his ring back and stop Faith from completing her own deal with the Devil. The two share a passionate and emotional journey that can lead them to new heights. Can they cheat the Devil and survive his deals unscathed?
Devil Without a Cause is a unique fast-paced thrilling novel. It is really hard not to feel for Faith’s plight. She knows her actions are wrong but she will do anything to save her child. Finn sees his past mistakes and is trying to find his own redemption. Together these two make a very special couple. When I first started the novel I didn’t think I would like the way it was set up with portions featuring the hero/heroine and then others the Devil and his story, however, I was wrong. I found Ms. Garey’s fresh way of storytelling to be very cool and it opens up other avenues of the story the reader would never think of. I am anxious to follow the Devil’s Bargain series to find out what happens next.
