Five years of working overtime and saving every penny pays off for Phillip Bacardi when he surprises his husband Theo Rosenberg with a second honeymoon.  They will take a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands culminating in a second wedding ceremony on the beach.

As the couple enjoy their romantic vacation a select group of politicians and powerful businessmen, members of a secret society called the Sons of Sion, plan a nightmare for any and all homosexuals in the country.  First with lies and cover-ups, followed by threats and coercion, they make sure that the killer virus is tested and ready for release.

Phillip and Theo return from their vacation unaware their world is crumbling because the virus has already taking hold along the East coast.  It’s a race against time for a handful of men to reveal the truth and do whatever they can to stop the epidemic. When Phillip becomes instrumental in uncovering valuable information the only thing on his mind is protecting Theo from contracting the virus.  Time is a luxury they don’t have.

An eerie, edgy intensity gathers in Escape from CONICA.  A tale of mad men, love, and time counting down for one minority.  Escape from CONICA begins with sweet romance and evolves into a taut, tense drama.  Phillip and Theo’s happiness is slowly overshadowed by an unbelievable horror.  This is a hold your breath and pray for a miracle thriller.
