Called to a domestic disturbance Officer Carter Schunk finds a strung out male and a woman desperately needing medical attention.  After backup arrives on the scene Carter follows a hunch and discovers a small boy in nightmare conditions.

Traumatized, little Alex clings to Carter when Donald ‘Ice’ Ickle arrives from Child Services to take over.  With emergency foster care full, the tiny guy will have to go to a state home until something is sorted out.  Though Carter and Donald have an unpleasant past of sorts the officer keeps things professional as he pleads an unusual placement for the boy. Alex has already suffered so much.

Fate has given Carter the opportunity to change the lives of two special people. If he has the will and more importantly, the heart.

A heart wrenching tale.  Fire and Ice is an emotionally rich, challenging story of love. The characters are riveting.  Carter, Donald, and Alex are unforgettable.  The officer comes across as real, Donald takes a little longer to engage. His sad past is explained and adds to the storyline.  Let Fire and Ice will melt your heart.  The sentimental plotline packs a heavy punch from start to finish while the sexual tension between Carter and Donald is palpable.  A well crafted second installment to the series Fire and Ice tells an inspiring story.  Tissue optional – strike that, necessary.
