The emotional implosion almost completely fractured rising band Firefly. Between the fallout from Ace’s death and the destruction of trust after lead guitarist Lenny Stevens and lead singer Damian’s fight there wasn’t much left to hold everyone together.
Country superstar Vance Ashcroft saw something worth loving in Len and took him away from the band and onto his ranch far from civilization. Vance relishes his Dom instincts and hoped it would help the obviously submissive Len. For every step forward however in their tentative relationship they take two destructive steps back which is further crumbling the guitarist’s bleeding soul.
Finding a balance, evolving as a couple and mending Len’s shattered psyche is the only way they can stay together. It is the only way he can return to the music he once lived and breathed. Only now he has someone real and honest to help him survive.
Author Jaime Samms doesn’t miss a beat in the volatile tale In the Wings as characters scramble and stumble for emotional survival. The page sometimes literally bleeds for Len and Vance with every wrong step a bloodbath of drama. Brutal and unflinching, In the Wings will put readers through the wringer at times. It would also be best if readers read this series in order to better understand the dynamics of the band members though each can be understood as a standalone story. Incredibly moving, In the Wings exposes some ugly truths and finishes with a hopeful future.
