Series: Seasons of Murder #2
Published by MLR Press Genres: MM, Paranormal
Odin James would be willing to do just about anything to turn back time and change the outcome of one horrific night seven months ago. He and his best friend Sebastian Norris were walking home from a bar when Bas was gunned down in front of Odin. Barely managing to escape it’s been a nightmare ever since as first police and then the FBI were unable to protect Odin. All because Bas was murdered by Warren Mortimer, the all powerful, influential Alpha of the dingo shifters.
Smoked again, Odin’s FBI handler Patric Charles hands his witness off to Tom Wylie. Taciturn and withdrawn the former solider lives off the grid since he left his career behind. Tom is also a wolf shifter beta in line to eventually lead the wolves.
What should have been a safe house where they could lay low is proven a dangerous trap. Someone wants Odin badly and they’re willing to go to any lengths to capture him. There must be more going on than the trial against Mortimer. As far as Tom is concerned the moment he touched Odin ensured he’d give his life for him. At long last the wolf has found his mate. Whatever it takes Odin will survive and they will figure out what’s going on. Whatever it takes.
A strong balance of tension, engaging characters, and action culminates in Lay Your Body Down. Marked for death the shy witness isn’t sure who to trust until he lands in Tom’s capable hands. Twists and turns are meagerly doled out as this story unfolds. A multi layered tale, Lay Your Body Down works especially well because of the chemistry between the main characters. Sit down, put your feet up, and enjoy the wild adventure of Lay Your Body Down.
