When the Fishing for Trouble series started I knew I was going to get into it right away for many different reasons. First, the plot was really different from others books that are currently out now. This series follows three brothers who recently took over their deceased fathers fishing charters and lodge in the Buoys. Second is the very enjoyable and likable characters that come together to make the improvements to the lodge so they can be successful. And last but not least it’s all about the romance!

Can I just say how happy I am that Lured In was about Finn and Jessie? These two have been friends since Jessie started working for Finn’s father at just seventeen. Jessie runs the lodge and now that she is back from being away for a few years that’s just fine with her. Going near the water brings back painful memories that she has tried to bury. With Jessie’s hot tv star ex coming to film a new show in the Buoys she is determined to get over her fear of the water and Finn is the right man for the job. As Finn and Jessie embark on their swims these two get even closer than they were but not everyone will be happy if they get together.

I just loved these two, not only as a romantic couple, but just in general. Between Jessie and Finn I wasn’t sure which one of them was my favorite so they ended up tied, but in the end I was okay with that. They were both smart, funny, driven and belonged not only to one another but in the Buoys. I really enjoyed the progress of their friendship turning towards lovers. It’s one of those stories you know that it is coming but yet you want them to rush it along a little faster. They had a great friendship but in some scenes their chemistry was a little on the let down side of things, sure the story kept moving at a believable pace but I missed the oomph that usually lures me in.

Lured In was a sweet romance that really shows how if you love someone to let them go or in Finn’s case to follow them to plea your case. Drewry did a great job on the descriptions that made me feel as if I was really there and I felt the dialogue captured both Finn and Jessie’s personality from the start. I am already looking forward to the next book in this series since Finn’s brother doesn’t seem to have it so easy and of course I am looking forward to seeing more of the characters that I have grown to love.
