The Callahan boys have been ostracized since childhood by the town they live in. The history between their parents and their maternal grandparents is sordid and that relationship has deferred to them since their parents death. The boys were willed their parents land but their grandparents want it back in its rightful owners hands.
Rafer Callahan is known around Sweetrock as another one of those bad Callahan boys. He left town to join the marines after being accused of murder. There has never been any doubt that he would be coming back to claim his inheritance no matter the difficulty he has getting it. There is something else he wants that resides in Sweetrock but he knows he shouldn’t claim Cambria Flannigan.
Cami Flannigan has been in love with Rafer almost her entire life. She even loved him after he was accused of brutally murdering her sister. Cami has complete faith in Rafer’s innocence and has always been willing to stand up for him. Now that she’s all grown up and living back in Sweetrock it’s hard to ignore her feelings for Rafer. One snowy night brings about a night of passion they will never forget. Will their night together bring dire consequences? It seems someone holds a deeper grudge towards the Callahan’s and doesn’t want to see them happy. This person is ready to take away whatever Rafer lovesmaking Cami a target. Can Rafer protect the woman he loves?
Midnight Sins is a spicy romance with a killer plot. I must say I really enjoyed Rafer and Cami’s story. I think they make a very special couple. Their relationship has tons of emotion and heat. I was absolutely pulled in by their feelings for each other and the heady circumstances that brought them together. Rafer is definitely an alpha male and he brings plenty of sexy to this story. I love that Cami’s no push over either. I found the back story to be unique and intriguing. I cannot wait to find out more about what happened to the Callahan boys parents and see if any of my suspicions are correct. There are several errors and discrepancies throughout the book. The timeline at the beginning is a bit confusing. I felt like I was missing something at one point. However, I don’t want to dwell on it too much. Yes, it’s bad that there are errors but for me it doesn’t affect how much I liked Midnight Sins. None of these errors seemed as offensive as some I’ve seen in the past. Rafer and Cami’s romance is hot, heavy and immensely satisfying. I am looking forward to the next book in this exciting series.
