Sean O’Brien grew up with his con artist father and became a con as well. A con gone badly and a three year stint in prison straightened Sean out. Now he works as a bartender at the Onyx hotel in Vegas and he’s a member of the Reliance Group, a private investigative team. Sean’s latest assignment is to find the man that double-crossed his father and put him in prison. The only thing standing in his way is the man’s beautiful daughter.
Zoe Russo’s jewelry design business is about to erupt. Her life is all peaches until she discovers the man she has been seeing is really using her to hunt down her missing father. Zoe refuses to believe her father is a con man and responsible for duping people out of their money. Which is why she decides to partner with Sean to find her father; she intends to prove Sean and the world wrong and bring her father home. Too bad they are not the only ones’ looking for her father. Someone else is determined to find Grant Russo and they want to use Zoe as well but they have something more fatal in mind. Can Sean protect the woman he’s growing to care for or will finding her father take precedence?
Night After Night is a hot bad boy-turns-good romance. Sean’s past is filled with minefields. He hasn’t always been the by the book man he is now. Zoe has the potential to be his other half. The chemistry between them is smoldering but his past and the tangled web surrounding her father may be more than they can handle. Zoe and Sean create sparks from their first meeting and I love the story between these two but I couldn’t help feeling that the other couple featured in Night After Night overshadowed them a bit. Night After Night also tells the story of Zoe’s best friend, rock star Jessica Morgan. Jessica has a past with Vegas nightclub manager Noah. A past that is unfinished as far as he is concerned and he’s willing to do anything to figure out why the love of his life left him. The emotion that Jessica’s character brings to this story overpowered the main plot for me. I fell in love with Jessica and Noah. Ms. Denison weaves two love stories together beautifully. The simultaneous love stories flowed naturally. The two romances in Night After Night are my favorite part. I never truly got into the con plot line but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment.
