Anything can happen under the cover of darkness. Kell Roberts has walked the thin line between life and death for so long that it now feels like home. He is a soldier, a survivor, and a loner. Still, Kell cannot turn his back on the beautiful woman caught in his firefight against the drug lords of Mexico. She says her name is Teddie, but Kell senses there’s much more to her story—and it’s about to pull him into a mission he didn’t sign on for: keeping her alive.Teddie knows this lean, mean rescuer just saved her life, but the steel glint behind those soft gray eyes seem to be hiding something deep. The men after Teddie are deadly, but the man who holds her life in his hands and tempts her with his wicked touch is even more dangerous. He could make her dream about living and loving again. And if they can survive, maybe, just maybe, they can stop fighting the world and each other—and simply surrender.
Kell Roberts hasn’t been the same since his last mission. He feels like he let those he cares about the most down in the worst possible way. Now he finds himself back in the thick of things over the Mexican border. Kell and his friend, Reid, are on a mission to assassinate a drug lord when a beautiful young woman runs right into the most crucial moment of their mission.
Teddie Lassiter watched as her family was gunned down. Now she is looking for revenge in Mexico. Teddie is tired of living a false life in the WITSEC program. After losing all the people she’s ever loved she would have at least liked to cling to her passion for photography but that was ripped away from her as well. Teddie is on the trail of those responsible but finds herself double-crossed. Now she’s on the run for her life.
Kell and Teddie’s paths cross in the most unlikely way and now they are stuck with each other. Each have their issues with trust but they are forced to trust one another if they want to survive those hunting them. Their Night Moves better be good if they want to get out of this alive.
Night Moves is a wild and passionate thrill-ride. Kell and Teddie absolutely sizzle in Night Moves. This is my first Shadow Force novel and I can tell you I am definitely going back to read the first three! Stephanie Tyler has filled Night Moves with intense action-packed sequences, highly emotional scenes, and a one-of-a-kind couple that will knock your socks off. I could not get enough of Kell and Teddie. Both of them have experienced such tragedies; it amps up the emotion so much you can’t help but pull for this couple. These two have much in common but have to work really hard to find common ground. I like the fact that they are not immediately attached at the hip. I feel their progression was a natural one. It’s not necessary to read these books in order but I think I would have enjoyed the portions about the rest of Kell’s team more if I had read the previous books. Ms. Tyler gets things rocking and rolling fast with her high-octane action and her sensuous couple in Night Moves.
