One Night with the Quarterback by Jeanette Murray
Series: Santa Fe Bobcats #1
Published by Penguin Genres: Contemporary, Sports
Reviewed by Talia Ricci
Cassie Wainwright has come to the home of the Santa Fe Bobcats, not as a fan, but as the daughter of the coach: the previously unknown daughter of the coach. She is hopeful that she can have a relationship with her parent but is still nervous. Her inability to settle has her going to a club where she meets uber sexy Santa Fe quarterback Trey Owens. Of course she has no idea who he is, but she is too attracted to him to worry about that.
Trey Owens doesn’t want to be out partying but when he sees Cassie he has to somehow get to know her. The fact that she has no idea who he is makes Trey feel better, at least until he finds out who she really is. But their one night stand was supposed to be simple – now it is anything but, especially since Trey can’t get Cassie out of his mind.
I liked this book very much – I didn’t like some of the characters. Cassie’s father is a jerk and I’m not sure I would have stayed near him, and I won’t even mention her stepmother because I wanted to snap her neck. Cassie was a bit wishy washy and I can’t blame her. She was trying her best and didn’t give up. I loved how Trey won her over most of the time. Trey, however, was loveable from start to finish. Their passion for each other was smoking hot and I could picture these characters as real people.
One Night with the Quarterback is book one of Jeanette Murray’s Santa Fe Bobcats series. Book two released in October, 2014 and I’m anxiously awaiting book three’s release in April! Invest in this series – you won’t be sorry!
