British spy Simon Greenville, The Earl of St. Jude is walking a fine and dangerous line. His spying on the French led him to a cell but he miraculously convinced his keepers that he can spy for them. Simon must figure out how to get out of this perilous situation but first he must deal with the death of his wife and find someone to take care of his children.
Amelia Greystone may not be completely over the romance she had with the Earl of St. Just ten years ago. She thought she was but seeing him at his wife’s funeral cracked open her resolve. However, Amelia is willing to put her feelings aside for the sake of Simon’s beautiful children. They need someone to take care of them and she is the woman for the job.
Simon hires Amelia to take care of his children even though he knows he will be putting her in danger. There is something about Amelia that gives Simon peace and hope and he needs that right now more than ever. But will Simon be able to protect Amelia and his children from the danger that is stalking him?
Brenda Joyce’s Persuasion is a thrilling romance filled with high emotion and intrigue. Persuasion opens fast out of the gate sucking the reader in with its dramatic story and romantic tension. Amelia and Simon make a great couple. Both characters are strong and in need of some happiness. I love Amelia’s relationship with Simon’s children it is so sweet and precious. There is a whole secondary plotline surrounding the children that I just loved but I don’t want to spoil it for the reader!
Ms. Joyce continues the excellent Spymaster’s Men series with Persuasion. There is a lot of spying going on and we learn more about the Spymaster himself. I love that we get to see what is going on now with Amelia’s sister Julianne and her husband Dominic. It is also exciting to learn more about the Greystone men. I look forward to reading their stories!
If you’re a fan of spy thrillers you don’t want to miss Persuasion because it has all the excitement you need and even gives the reader one heck of a great romance as well!
