In the latest story of the Elder Races, two mates face their deadliest challenge yet—each other…
Pia and Dragos’s magical young son Liam (the Peanut), is growing at an unprecedented rate, and if that isn't enough, he is also
exhibiting new, and unpredictable, magical gifts. To protect him, the concerned parents decide to move to upstate New York.
Both Dragos and Pia relish the idea of leaving behind the city. They finally have the space to indulge their Wyr side, and Liam can grow in safety. It’s a breath of fresh air—literally—but their idyllic situation is shattered when Dragos is injured in a freak accident.
Stripped of his memory and bereft of Pia’s taming influence, there’s nothing holding back Dragos’s darkest side. And in order to restore her family and save her mate, Pia must confront the most powerful menace in Elder Races history.
It’s going to take more than a penny to fix this… (31,250 words)
Pia and Dragos have decided to permanently move to their estate in upper New York for a safer place in which to raise Liam. They are looking forward to the great outdoors and the wildlife that will surround them and allow them to be able to enjoy their other self also. But to move the headquarters of the Wyr and Dragos’ business there, a lot of construction needs to be completed. A freak accident one afternoon when Dragos goes to see the progress of the construction, will take the Wyr to the edges of drastic change and will require every ounce of love, strength and compassion that Pia has in her body. Pia is not about to let anyone destroy her life with Dragos and Liam, not even Dragos himself and she is more than willing to fight for her husband and mate and their son. Pia might be one of the most gentle Wyr around but all the Wyr are about to learn just how strongly she can fight for those she loves.
Pia and Dragos are about to start the second part of their life together outside of New York until the largest barrier they have confronted presents itself in Pia Saves The Day. All I can say to begin with is that I loved this story and how it grew the storyline of Dragos, Pia and Liam. I always knew that Pia would fight for her new life and her love of Dragos and Liam, but I never expected that she would have a chance to prove it so soon. I really loved how Pia proved just how practical she could be just after the accident and then proved her love by confronting the very thing that could tear the family totally apart. The very best thing in my eyes about this story is that while it moved things along, it did not tie up all the loose threads and pretend like it was all perfect when it was over. Now I can’t wait to see how the results of this brief interlude will be handled as things go forward in the Elder Races books. Pia Saves The Day will have you cheering for both Pia and Dragos by the end and just wanting to hug Liam (Peanut) after this latest harrowing adventure.
