Rosanna Leo weaves a fun, exhilarating tale in Book 1 of her new Gemini Island Shifters series. Thrills, suspense, and humor abound when a rock star brother, stalkers, and a sexy erotica author descend on one ornery bear shifter. Find out for yourself what happens when events conspire to awaken the bear! Bear shifter Ryland Snow just wants peace. The peace and quiet afforded him at his woodsy retreat, the Ursa Fishing Lodge. As owner of the lodge, Ryland enjoys the tranquil life he’s created among his fellow shifters. He lives to maintain a safe haven for them, away from meddlesome human eyes. When his rock star brother arrives, bringing trouble in the form of a possible hit man, Ryland is incensed. He’s been cleaning up Soren’s messes as long as he can remember, and is tired of his brother’s lecherous exploits. Things go from bad to worse when Lia Goodblood stumbles upon Ryland and his lodge. Yes, the reclusive erotica author is easy on the eyes, but the human woman is more trouble than she’s worth. To say nothing of her bizarre fear of furry creatures. Ryland determines to rid himself of her presence. But when he learns she’s on the run from a crazed fan, Ryland’s protective bear instincts flare. And the bear won’t be denied. Content Notes: Paranormal, Shifters, Contemporary, Spicy

Lia Goodblood is an erotic writer who likes to keep things on the down low and out of the limelight.  But lately she has been put on her heels by a stalker who won’t give up and a reporter who is more concerned by getting the picture than privacy.  Forced out of her home, Lia stumbles on a ferry taking people to a small private island that has an unknown resort on it.  Lia grabs at this lifeline and stumbles in to a world she never imagined could exist.

Ryland Snow is a bear shifter and has devoted his life to having a place where shifters of all sorts could come and be themselves without worry.  His resort, Ursa Fishing Lodge, is just that place where shifter families come to enjoy and relax without needing to worry about revealing anything they shouldn’t.  When Ryland learns that his rock star brother is about to descend on the lodge, he wonders what type of trouble is coming with him because it’s always something.

Lia walks towards the lodging she sees and trips over two men fighting and can’t believe her eyes when they change into huge bears in front of her.  What is going on?  When Ryland realizes a human just stumbled on to his island and saw him and his brother shift, he immediately starts damage control and plots how to get Lia off the island ASAP.  That is until he learns why she came to the island in the first place and then realizes that every instinct he has is saying Lia is his to keep.  A quick turn of events has Ryland wondering if he can find a way to keep Lia safe and away from his brother, while showing her that bears can be cuddly too.  After having her world seriously shaken, Lia is more amazed at the passion she feels for Ryland than scared to learn that there are people who can shift into animals at will.   Ryland and Lia learn that the biggest hurdle to get over is one that Ryland is just the bear to help Lia over it.  Everyone on the island learns just how protective a human can be when those Lia is running from suddenly appear.

Take one tough bear with smushy insides and add one erotic writer with a huge imagination, add in some fireworks, a touch of humor and creepy interruptions and the result is one hot journey into passion.  Predator’s Kiss showed Ryland that it didn’t have to be shifters only when it came to love.  I thought it was great how well Lia did when confronted with the reality of shifters and the great approach that Ryland took to overcome her fears.  I had to laugh a few times as Ryland’s brother tried to “help” him see what was really happening.  I loved the way that Lia stood up to what had been chasing her and was so protective of Ryland and the other shifters.  Predator’s Kiss is a light hearted look at what can happen when the spotlight of fame targets private individuals with the perfect touch of passion and suspense to round it out.
