A temperamental chef at the best of times, hawk shifter Garret Halcon and family run a successful restaurant in town. They make a better profit when humans dine there because the shifter clientele tend to eat everything but the kitchen sink when they order a meal which leaves Garret scrambling to refill the freezers and pantry.
After closing one evening Garret comes across an injured lion shifter lying in the back alley. He feels drawn to the downed shifter and apparently even when barely conscious the lion feels the same. The restaurateur doesn’t know it yet but he’s about to become embroiled in a political pride mess. Garret wouldn’t have it any other way however after finally finding his fated mate.
Book seven in the popular Supernatural Mates series, Protecting His Pride ties up previous loose ends and teases readers with new questions at the end. Garret and his lion’s romance can be understood on its own though too many other plot points won’t make much sense if not read in order. Protecting His Pride will be a hit with fans and give new readers a reason to work their way through this charming series.
