Series: Surrender Trilogy #3
Published by Berkley Publishing Group Genres: Contemporary, Erotic
Reviewed by Talia Ricci
Chessy Morgan and her husband Tate have practiced Dominance and submission for years. Well, at least they used to before Chessy’s husband let work interfere with their day to day lives. Chessy has hopes though that her husband loves her as much as she loves him, especially since it is their anniversary. She needs her dominant lover like she needs to breathe and she is getting pretty tired of coming in second. Taking it all doesn’t mean she is a doormat and Tate finds out pretty soon that his wife is now in charge. Here’s hoping that Tate gets his head out of his…work?
Book three of Maya Banks’ Surrender Trilogy, Taking It All, has it all. Love, tempers, passion, tears, lies, fears – the whole gamut of emotions. I found Tate to be a bit oblivious at times, but I get where he was coming from – he was taking care of his wife and life so that he didn’t have to scrimp on anything when really all Chessy wanted was his time. It’s a good case of money can’t buy everything, least of all, Chessy’s heart.
Once again, my favorite, Maya Banks has written something profound and erotic and quite simply, wonderful. Start with book one of this series if you want – it would make more sense. If not, then go ahead and immerse yourself in the passion and powerful emotions of this prolific writer!
