Tessa Preston has been in love with her brother’s best friend Mick Malone for twenty-five years.  But Mick just can’t seem to see her as the woman she has become, instead of the kid sister of his friend.  But friendship or not setting fire to her store and burning all those beautiful antiques to ash is one step too far for Tessa.  She can’t believe what Mick has done, or that he seems to be changing before her eyes.

Enter Wanda, Marty and Nina at just the right time, and they insist on helping Mick.  They think they know what is happening even if Mick and Tessa don’t.  But hold onto your hats folks nothing is easy when Wanda, Marty and Nina are involved.  Except for maybe making Tessa face her feelings, and force Mick to see Tessa as more than just a friend.

The Accidental Dragon starts with a bang, ok a ball of fire, and heats up from there.  I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions between Mick and Tessa but I have to say Nina and Tessa’s interactions are the best.  I have not laughed out loud so much reading in a while.  This is definitely a twist on the “girl next door” romance.   If you want a fun laugh out loud shape shifter book this is the one you need to pick up.
