Series: The Rakes of Cavendish Square #1
Published by Signet Genres: Historical
Leo Byron is bored with his life. Looking for a more challenging female, he spots the social outcast Thalia Lennox across the room. Despite the warning of his twin brother about the notorious divorcee, Leo sets out on his course to woo the tempting Lady.
Lady Thalia Lennox has been badly burned by the ton that she once belonged to. Wanting only to maintain a spot on the fringes of polite society, Thalia does not relish the thought of getting into the thick of things with a playboy who is adamant in his pursuit of her. However, as Leo continues to doggedly pursue Thalia, she soon finds herself enmeshed upon a new path, and the possibility of some things from the past coming to light may just give her and Leo the HEA they both deserve.
The Bedding Proposal is a charming historical tale that brought to light some of the difficulties women of that time faced. I liked that Leo wasn’t put off by the scandal that followed Thalia around in The Bedding Proposal, and I found his pursuit of her rather endearing. As is common in most romance novels, Leo didn’t start out with the best of intentions, but he ended up with more than he bargained for in The Bedding Proposal. Despite the fact that things were tidied up rather nicely in The Bedding Proposal for Leo and Thalia, I still enjoyed their tale.
