Since the beginning of time, the archangels have longed to know true love. When four female angels were created for the four archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Azrael, a chaos spurred by jealousy erupted, and the archesses were secreted away to Earth. The four favored archangels followed, prompting a search that has lasted millennia... As the Angel of Death, Azrael could never be like his brothers. While the others fell to Earth in human form, Azrael descended as a vampire. Today, as the lead singer of a popular rock band, he keeps his true nature hidden--a powerful darkness constantly at odds with his angelic self. Beneath his mask, Azrael holds onto the hope that he will one day find the archess who will complete him. At his brother Gabriel's wedding, Azrael set his golden eyes on Sophie Bryce, the maid of honor. He is certain she is his destined mate, and will do anything to make her his. But Sophie is unaware of her archess identity, and is haunted by unspeakable demons of her own. When supernatural forces emerge from the shadows, threatening Sophie, Azrael is the only one who can protect her. But to do it, he must reveal his true, savage self.
Danni has known for years she is a ‘dormant werewolf’ and she has used her magic to hide this fact from everyone else. This includes the Alphas and the head of the council. But, she is now dreaming of two different wolves, one who scares her to death (oh and is a serial killer) and another that she fears is out of her grasp. But, when Lucas drops into her path destiny might have just made the decision for her.
It is no secret that Lucas hates magic. He has since the day of his brother’s disappearance, and presumed death. But, now he has crossed paths with the intriguing healer Danni and can’t get her out of his mind. With her gorgeous mind and soul as well as the fact that she is “hot’ to boot doesn’t hurt either. But, can he convince her that he is in her life for good, even if she isn’t a latent. He knows his mate when he sees her.
In this third offering of the Big Bad Wolf series the author lets us finally see a little more about Danni who has been in the background of the first two books. I continually laughed in The Spell when Danni would have these conversations with herself trying to talk herself out of doing things that she knew she would do any ways. The Spell deftly shows how believing in yourself, love will help you to overcome your greatest fears. The Spell is definitely worth a listen, or a read.
