Freed from the cage he spent eight months trapped within and from the drug confining him to his rat form, shifter Paolo Muccio is grateful to the Stone Ridge pack for giving him his life back.  Their hospitality includes staying with the pack until he can locate his own family and friends.

A relaxing evening playing cards with his new friends yields a far greater reward when Paolo finds his mate at the poker game.  Imagine wolf shifter Jamie Stratton’s surprise in discovering his mate after three hundred years, at a card game.

It seems as though once again fate has made a perfect match.  Paolo’s dominant personality meshes well with the absolute submissive he see’s in Jamie.  But Paolo is quick to identify that all is not well with Jamie so he tells himself to take things slow.    Unfortunately a quietly spoken remark is misunderstood and sends Jamie running before Paolo can explain.  With Jamie missing there’s no way to straighten out this mess.

Temperatures rise as mates Paolo and Jamie give in to passion in Trusting His Rat, the 24th book in the popular Wolves of Stone Ridge series.  An honest mistake, a poorly timed comment, and the new lovers are torn apart before the bed cools.  Fans will fall in love with Paolo and Jamie, as well as enjoy renewing contact with characters from previous books while new readers are sure to get hooked into Stone Ridge.  A clever blend of hot, hot loving on top of digging oneself out of a verbal hole.  Trusting His Rat is sheer entertainment.
