Victoria Donovan remembers some things from her past, but when she became Victoria Donovan, it goes blank. However, Victoria knows that the man that visits her in Fairfax Mental Health Institute may hold the answers to her questions. He only comes when no one else is around, and he has a power over her that no other seems to hold. Victoria knows him as her husband, but her doctors continue to tell her that her husband is dead! How can that be when his very touch ignites her? They have to be wrong, because a ghost couldn’t do that, but then, she is in a mental health institute.
Unhinge is a psychological twist that will keep you guessing until the final revelation is revealed. Victoria is convincing in her beliefs and actions, but the antagonist was a surprise in Unhinge. I found myself rooting for Victoria’s happily ever after, but I also felt a bit let down in the end.
