Posey Osterhagen can't complain. She owns a successful architectural salvaging company, she's surrounded by her lovable, if off-center, family and she has a boyfriend—sort of. Still, something's missing. Something tall, brooding and criminally good-looking…something like Liam Murphy. When Posey was sixteen, the bad boy of Bellsford, New Hampshire, broke her heart. But now he's back, sending Posey's traitorous schoolgirl heart into overdrive once again. She should be giving him a wide berth, but it seems fate has other ideas….
Posey Osterhagen has a happy life. She has a great yet kooky family, wonderful friends and a job that she loves. Posey’s passion lies with her architectural salvaging business. She also has a sort of boyfriend. However, her feelings for the boyfriend don’t stop her from lusting after her high school crush once he waltzes back into town.
Liam Murphy was always the bad boy of Bellsford, New Hampshire until he met Emma, his high school sweetheart. Liam married Emma and had a beautiful daughter. Unfortunately, Emma died leaving him to raise their daughter on his own. He has moved back to Bellsford so his daughter can be closer to her maternal grandparents.
Liam is caught off guard by the feelings that arise when he sees Posey again. After all in high school she was just that skinny girl who had a crush on him. Liam decides it’s time for him to date but Posey isn’t ready to be another notch in his bedpost. For Liam, a man who is used to having women lay down at his feet Posey poses quite the challenge. Will opposites attract and ignite long buried passion? Can passion lead to forever? Find out in Until There Was You.
Until There Was You is an endearing and heartwarming romance. Posey is my kind of girl! She is spunky, tenacious and just stubborn enough to keep things interesting. While I love her and Liam as a couple I am crazy about her plot line with the Meadows house as well. Liam is the consummate bad boy hunk that just makes girls drool. One aspect that I really enjoyed from this book is Liam’s reconciliation of his two personalities: the boy he used to be and the man he is now. At first, when he moves back to Bellsford everyone sees him as the boy he used to be. There is nothing like having to look at yourself from someone else’s point of view. This is why I got a big kick out of Liam’s reaction to his teenage daughter dating. There are many interesting and fun things that happen in Until There Was You. Posey’s parents kept me laughing like crazy throughout but it was also nice to see their serious side towards the end of the book. Until There Was You is a beautiful romance with plenty of love and laughter to make the reader happy, and features an ending that I adore!
