Popular blogger Danyiah Jackson is known for finding the humor in anything--until some of her fan mail turns threatening and a stalker makes it clear he's been watching her. She grudgingly accepts the advice of a threat assessment expert and disappears from the online world, taking temporary refuge at a family friend's quarter horse ranch in the country. Head horse wrangler Adam Cooper isn't thrilled about the smart-mouthed young woman suddenly living and working at the ranch--even if she's drop-dead gorgeous. But their verbal sparring sets his body ablaze and gets his heart racing, and he's drawn to her despite his misgivings. However as Danyiah and Adam fight their attraction, her stalker draws near, putting not only their fledgling love, but their lives on the line.

Eminent blogger, Dani Jackson, aka Dani-Girl, is use to receiving fan mail; however, when one of her fans becomes a stalker and continuously sends her hostile and frightening messages, reluctantly Dani decides to follow the advice of a threat assessment expert to temporarily put her blog on hiatus and more importantly to leave the city for a while with hopes of smoking out her stalker.  Now, Dani is stuck on a family friend’s remote ranch out in the middle of nowhere, working as a ranch hand.

Adam Cooper cannot believe his bad luck.  His boss tells him that as lead horse wrangler, he must teach Dani Jackson the lessons of the daily ranch life.  With her stunning, dazzling looks, polished nails, ridiculous city footwear and smart-alecky mouth, Adam knows that his life is about to be miserable.   But, to Adam’s surprise, Dani is a quick learner and easily keeps up the pace, which only infuriates him more because now all he can fight against is his growing attraction towards her.

When Adam discovers the true reasoning behind Dani’s living at the ranch, will he do whatever it takes to protect her or will anger and the feel of betrayal steal his heart and cause Adam to turn away from Dani?

Asha King’s Wild Horses is a hoot!  As someone from the city, Dani has no idea what is like to live on a ranch.  Boy, did Dani have a quick, course study lesson in learning that high heels, manicure nails and cuties hats were not the fashion for ranch life.  The waiting to be published blog posts on Dani’s ranch happenings that sporadically pops up in between chapters are hilarious and are wonderful additions to the narrative.  The only drawback I have with Wild Horses is the relationship between Dani and Adam takes too long to develop and when it does, it seems as if the conclusion happens too quickly before I could completely enjoy their passionate togetherness in bed.  I also wish the storyline would have been much longer in length.  Based on the ending, I am under the impression that this is only the beginning for Dani and Adam with the possibility of another featured story for them.  With that being said, I still enjoyed reading Wild Horses.
