Her captor, Commander Greaves, enslaves mortal women for their blood. If Parisa hopes to survive—and ascend—she must forge an even deeper bond with Antony…in the flames of eternity.Caris Roane's Wings of Fire is sizzling, passionate paranormal romance.
Antony (Tony) Medichi has been one of the winged warriors for centuries now. The nights are full of their ongoing battle against the death vampires and their leader to save not only Earth in their dimension but also the human dimension of Earth. It has been enough for Tony until he was asked to be the guardian for a very unusual human that might be ascending. This woman not only might be a much needed key to give them a leg up in their battle, but she is also Tony’s destined mate if they live long enough to explore the passion that is just waiting to explode between them.
Parisa Lovejoy knew there was something unusual about her, after all not every human has a pair of wings that she can call for at will. Those wings are Parisa’s key to enter a world, okay a dimension, she never would have expected to exist. A world where people have ascended to a new dimension, have wings and vampire teeth. It’s also a world that is in constant battle to protect her world. One thing Parisa learns quickly is that things are very different here. Another thing is that the warrior who has been asked to protect her with his life is also a man she has been able to “view” for months now in her dreams. Parisa would love to know Tony better, but if they give in totally to the passion that is surrounding them it will be more than an afternoon delight.
Tony and Parisa have already learned what it’s like to deny that passion since Parisa was kidnapped and held for over six months now. And yet when she is rescued, both Tony and Parisa still aren’t sure that giving into to that passion is a wise thing to do. Learning about the humans that are being held and are the source of death blood gives both Parisa and the warriors a target in hopes to deny the death vampires their source of life. While the fight to save both worlds is going on, Tony and Parisa are experiencing their own ups and downs in trying to decide what to do about their bonding. When the battle appears to be lost by the good guys, Tony and Parisa learn that love really can save the world.
A winged human from first Earth learns about love from a warrior on second Earth in Wings of Fire. I knew that Tony and Parisa’s path would not be easy as she was kidnapped just as their story was beginning. However, I had no idea how much they would fight the passion and bonding. Watching as both Parisa and Tony went around and around with not only the bonding issue, but also what their lives would mean kept me turning the pages. I found it gripping and their concerns were heartfelt. However, when it came right down to what their hearts really wanted it turned out to be the love and bonding which saved not only them but possibly both of their worlds. Wings of Fire is passionate and suspenseful as a determined couple fights for what will give them their hearts desire.
