Fly With Me is the first book in a brand new series by Chanel Cleeton and I was completely thrilled with how different it was from her Capital Confessions series. In this new world that Ms. Cleeton has created we meet a group of pilots in the Air Force that love what they do but when they fall in love they fall hard and I couldn’t wait to get to know each of them better.

Jordan owns a boutique in the Sunshine state but is currently in Las Vegas for her sister’s bachelorette party. She might be thirty and still single but this weekend she isn’t going to let that get her down. While out she meets Noah and is instantly attracted to him and the thing that stands out to her the most is how he carries himself. What she never expected was to embark on a one night stand that quickly turns in to an everlasting romance. Only one problem, they live in two different states. Will the distance keep them apart or can they find a common ground in making their relationship really work.

Noah is in Las Vegas for work and since he is a pilot he hasn’t had the time for many serious relationships. After spending time with Jordan in and out of bed he knows he wants to get to know her better but it’s not going to be easy. He can move from place to place or be gone for long periods of time. Noah is just hoping for once this relationship wont crash and burn. To make sure that doesn’t happen he is willing to put his heart on the line.

Once I started Fly With Me I didn’t want to stop reading. There were a few things that started to jump out at me from the beginning that made this story even more enjoyable. Fly With Me was done in dual povs, I found not only did it help me get to know the characters better but also showed the depth of what Jordan and Noah were feeling and going through even when they were separated. Another thing was the Air Force lingo and missions that really captured my interest. I know nothing about the Air Force but I really did like how Ms. Cleeton took her time in explaining in detail how things worked which made this read even more enjoyable.

At first Noah came off a little on the cocky side but as I kept plugging away at the pages I couldn’t help but fall for him. He was confident yet when it came to Jordan, I liked how she unhinged him and made him unsure of how to handle things with her. I felt Jordan was a strong female lead and really enjoyed her personality. While she has her own life and such I liked how strong she stayed for Noah. She was also sassy, funny and realistic. Sometimes she would allow doubts to take over her mind that showed her own insecurities and that made her more real and open. The secondary characters helped make this story complete with their funny banter and the closeness they shared. I can honestly say I can’t wait to read each of their stories in the future, especially Easy’s.

While Jordan and Noah were apart I did find it harder to connect with them at times. Long distance relationships are hard due to different schedules and of course the lack of seeing one another but I thought these two handed it well and every time they got together I couldn’t help but do a little happy dance. Would I have liked to see them get together a little more frequently? Absolutely, but Ms. Cleeton brought a realness to them and the more time they exchanged phone calls the more they learned about one another.

Fly With Me, was fun, sweet and wow the ending had me grabbing for the tissues. Overall, I can’t wait for more of this series just to see how everyone’s relationships will turn out in the end. The next book can’t come soon enough and I will be stalking Ms. Cleeton’s page on a regular basis for release dates.

On Broken Wings is the third book in the Wild Aces series by Chanel Cleeton and to say I have been waiting for this one since the first book, Fly With Me, is putting it mildly. To get the full effect of their story I recommend reading this series in order because Easy and Dani’s story starts in book one even though things don’t happen until book three and heads up ladies you will need a box of tissues next to you when reading On Broken Wings.

It’s been a year since Dani Peterson lost her husband and after taking some time to grieve she is ready to make a fresh start and the beginning of that is to get the house they shared for a decade in selling order. While at the paint store picking out colors, Dani realizes she knows nothing about what to do or what to get so it’s a good thing when Alex “Easy” Rogers comes to her rescue and offers to paint before he is deployed again. While spending more time together Dani is starting to feel things she thought had been lost and buried with her late husband but is she ready to move on or will she let what might be a good thing pass her by?

Easy has been in love with Dani from the first moment he saw her only to find out she was married to his squadron commander, Joker. In hopes to get over Dani he has participated in many one night stands, but getting over her isn’t as easy as he thinks. After Joker passes away he wants to help Dani with anything she needs but hiding his true feelings for her is getting harder and harder and he knows she will never see him the same way. With his deployment nearing its time to see if maybe she could feel the same and after a few heated kisses, Easy knows that she has always been the woman for him, but will she be there in three months when he returns?

Once I started this story I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what was going to happen with Dani and Easy. From the beginning they came off as best friends and Easy was always there for her no matter what the situation. Ms. Cleeton delivers an emotion packed story that had me in tears the entire time and On Broken Wings was worth every drop.

Both Dani and Easy are both working on their grief in different ways and my heart really broke for these two. I really wanted them, no needed them, to find happiness once again and heal together. On Broken Wings is a dual pov story that captures not only every emotion and feeling these two characters are going through but also highlights their bond and their building relationship. I felt Ms. Cleeton did a really good job in showing the stages of grief and how painful it could be especially when they reach the stage of wanting to move on with their lives. They both were hurt by losing Joker and Easy wished it was him instead and Dani never thought this would happen to her since her and Joker were trying to start a family. really felt for Dani and how conflicted she was in wanting to move on yet not being there just yet. Easy was such a great guy and I felt bad he was just waiting in wings and not really living his life while holding on to this ever loving flame for Dani.

In all the ways I imagined On Broken Wings turning out it was this way that I hoped for and I can honestly say Ms. Cleeton kept the surprises coming over the course of the story. Is this the end of the Wild Aces series? I’m really hoping it’s not since there are a few new characters that are introduced and they sound interesting enough that I want to know more about them. If you’re looking for a romantic story full of emotions I highly recommend getting lost in On Broken Wings.

Eric “Thor” Jansen lives to fly his fighter jet but after the loss of a friend, he needs a time out. He finds himself on leave and headed home to South Carolina. It took Becca Madison a long time to recover after Eric broke their engagement. But now she’s happy with her life, at least until she sees Eric again. Eric has always known that he made a mistake when he left Becca but now he’s determined to win a second chance. Can they both let go of the past and find a future together?

I’ve never read anything by Chanel Cleeton before but have to admit I really enjoyed Into the Blue. It was in turns sexy, frustrating and sexy again. I fell in love with Eric even as I knew that how he had broken up with Becca was pretty much a game stopper. I wanted them to be together one minute and then the next wanted Becca to keep moving on. It was this that kept me turning the pages. I felt that Eric was truly sorry for the past and wanted him to have what he had thrown away even as I wasn’t sure that he deserved it. Talk about driving me crazy LOL!! I can’t wait to see what comes next in Chanel Cleeton’s Wild Aces series!!
