Claire St. James is a talented drummer, orphan, and proficient martial artist. One thing she is not is naïve. She knows that when her band is given an exclusive contract as the house band in a brand new Las Vegas hotel it is probably too good to be true, but goes along with the deal as her band members convince her things will be ok. But with their arrival is Las Vegas things none of them could ever anticipate are set in motion. The betrayal of Claire by someone she thought was close to her is just the start. She is a werewolf and a dormant mate? Claire isn’t sure what to believe, until she is abducted and not sure if she will make it out alive.
Green-eyed Malcolm Cole may no longer be thought of as a serial killer but is still cursed to see some of the most horrid murders in the world. He has resigned himself to a long but passionless existence. That is until he finds out about Claire St. James and quickly determines that she is his mate. Now he will do anything to claim her, and make her his. But, things do notgo as planned when Claire is betrayed and abducted, though Malcolm will do what it takes to make sure that she makes it out alive.
But, will the two be able to stop a sadistic and powerful alpha?
The Strip brings the return of Malcolm Cole, who was a rather villainous character in The Heat. Now that Malcolm has partially been vindicated by Lily Cain he is stunned when he finds out he might actually have a mate out there. The Strip has a much darker feel to it than the first story in The Big Bad Wolf series. I was personally disturbed by the torture scenes though overall liked the way the story wrapped up. The Strip is an overall intriguing story with some BDSM and some outright torture.
