Sent to one of the foremost British Universities in order to continue his education Luke Martin wishes he was anywhere else.  Luke’s parents mapped out his studies so that he could eventually join his father in the political area.  They are blind to Luke’s lack of interest in politics.

Struggling with an overdue essay Luke meets Boris, who is in the city to sketch the architecture.  They strike up a conversation and from there a burgeoning relationship begins.  Luke is somewhat taken aback when Boris offers his full name, Prince Boris von Schattan from the tiny, independent principality of Schattenberg nestled in the European mountains.

Luke agrees to accept an offer to visit Boris at his home during the semester break.  On arrival he is appalled to discover that the younger Prince is missing.  It is his older brother, Prince Georg, the ruling monarch who greets Luke.  Boris had told him that his elder brother was cold and distant, yet Luke finds him anything but unfriendly.  Finding Boris becomes his mission while at the same time Georg begins to get under his skin and into his heart.  As the search widens the body count rises, though Boris is still missing.  Rumors of a family curse and vampires begins to be whispered.  What Luke has walked into is anyone’s guess.

A modern man takes a step back in time to risk the Kiss of the Dark Prince.  The main character is sensitive and allows his heart to lead him into a Gothic setting where he’s torn between two brothers.  Twists and turns abound in the dark mystery where everyone begins to look guilty.  Kiss of the Dark Prince sets a chilling whodunit that keeps readers guessing, but there is very little honest romance.  No matter where Luke is lead in this realistic drama, the love is not sincere.
