Lord Brian Morris and his human servant Debra have worked unflinchingly to find a cure for the deadly vampire disease, the Delilah virus. They’ve also made an important breakthrough in their research on vampire infertility though the Council would like to keep the information quiet at present. It seems that conception has a greater chance if the couple are romantically involved which goes against their teachings. Vampires and their servants aren’t supposed to have those sort of feelings for each other.
That is certainly the philosophy that Lord Brian has held to since he gave Debra the third mark. In the years the two scientists have worked together in the labs Lord Brian has always kept Debra at a distance and thought everything was fine.
Though Debra isn’t interested in having children at present she does feel intensely lonely and it’s only getting worse. Debra has kept her emotions tightly reined in for so long it feels as if her soul is dying. Keeping her feelings for Lord Brian silent is slowly destroying her. If only her vampire would see how much she loves him.
