As an employee for the otherworldly law firm of Dire and Dyre it is assassin and demon born Damon Slake’s job to efficiently complete his assignments.  His very soul depends on it.

The current job is to capture and bring in the succubus Fayle who’s managed to slip through everyone’s fingers for quite some time.  Following a lead Damon goes into the vampire club Thirst where he’s momentarily distracted by a sexy red head with a sleeve of tats.  A further tip proves most interesting as the lead in question points Damon to his attraction.

A seminus demon by birth Raze is hampered by the biological need to have sex with females, frequently.  Problem is Raze is a freak, he’s gay and doesn’t want a female.  If not for his succubus room mate and friend Fayle helping out he’s not sure how he’d survive.

The demon world might be hard pressed to find two more complicated beings with major issues than Raze and Damon.  One wants a man but needs a woman and the other is frantic to regain his soul.  Talk about a match made in heaven.  Well, not quite.

Base Instincts run true for Damon and Raze.  Complex problems and entertaining outcomes result in the latest Demonica tale.  The demons embark on a difficult, though ultimately satisfying relationship in this fascinating and sexy story.  For all the wrong reasons they get together and for all the right reasons Damon and Raze succeed in the end.  Riveting twists in Base Instincts keep readers on their toes.  Feisty Damon and spirited Raze engage in a wickedly inventive romance.  Potent fun.

Revenant is on a war path after getting his memories back and discovering that for five thousand years he has been a virtual slave in Hell while his twin brother seemingly had Heaven’s backing.  Revenant wants to know why he was left and forced to do horrible things just to survive and why his mother was also sacrificed when she should have been rescued and taken back to heaven.  To say that Revenant has a nasty attitude doesn’t quite cover it, and the more “answers” he appears to find, the worse it gets.  However, there is one person who Revenant only wants to show his best side to, even when that isn’t always possible.

Blaspheme has many, many secrets that she has to keep hidden in order to live. Being a False Angel gives Blaspheme powers that help her in her chosen career. She works hard to save lives at Underworld General, yet to keep her secrets in tact and to save herself, Blaspheme might have to take a life.  She has decided that is not acceptable, and she is searching for another answer as time is ticking away.  Blaspheme’s entire existence is at stake.  Like that isn’t enough, it appears that one major bad ass has decided he wants her, and he is the absolute last person Blaspheme can afford to learn the truth about her. Wanting to just give in to the smoldering passion between Revenant and herself doesn’t help either.

Revenant needs Blaspheme in more ways than one, yet he would be the happiest man in Hell to finally let the powerful lust between them get what it wants. As Revenant follows even more clues on what really happened to him from his birth until now, even more astonishing answers appear, and they show him that maybe he wasn’t just the throw-away twin. Blaspheme is forced into a tough corner as her powers are disappearing and angels appear to have figured out the truth about her. When Revenant and Blaspheme finally team up, all three realms better start shaking, because they aren’t about to stop until all the nasty truths are out in the open, and they really don’t care who it takes down. When it appears that one of those truths is the key to fulfilling a powerful prophesy, things are about to change in Heaven, Hell, and Earth, because the love that Revenant has for Blaspheme won’t settle for any less. Buckle up boys and girls, because this is going to be a bumpy ride for sure.

A love story that will have Heaven, Hell, and Earth checking to see if the doors are locked is just how Revenant begins and ends.  Revenant and Blaspheme have both been used as scapegoats their entire lives, but that is about to end as they discover a passion for each other and work together to put so many wrongs to right.  I have to say right off that all I could think of as I finished this amazing book was “damn.”  I just couldn’t believe all that was wrapped up in it or how both Revenant and Blaspheme brought so many of the powerful down and brought about peace. As I read about just what Revenant went through and was forced to believe for so long, I’m not at all surprised that his attitude was on the nasty side. Yet, I could see the light in him when he was anywhere near Blaspheme or thought about her. Something told me that there was a lot beneath the covers and all I could do was hold on as everything, and I do mean everything was pulled out into the open at last. I have to say I did cheer as the final battles happened and certain someones got exactly what they deserved.

Revenant is the perfect ending to two series that intertwined, Demonica and Lords of Deliverance, with such a satisfying bang and all the associate fireworks.  I already have planned to re-read both series in order as they appeared in the timeline to relive the many, many twists that kept me of gripped within each and every book.  I am Joyfully Recommending Revenant because it deserves that and much more as a fantastic ending and a book that is a must-read, even if you haven’t read all the books in both series. Although I would recommend that you at least re-read them in order to get everything.

Even in the fathomless depths of the underworld and the bleak chambers of a damaged heart, the bonds of love can heal…or destroy. He holds the ability to annihilate souls in the palm of his hand. He commands the respect of the most dangerous of demons and the most powerful of angels. He can seduce and dominate any female he wants with a mere look. But for all Azagoth’s power, he’s bound by shackles of his own making, and only an angel with a secret holds the key to his release. She’s an angel with the extraordinary ability to travel through time and space. An angel with a tormented past she can’t escape. And when Lilliana is sent to Azagoth’s underworld realm, she finds that her past isn’t all she can’t escape. For the irresistibly sexy fallen angel known as Azagoth is also known as the Grim Reaper, and when he claims a soul, it’s forever…

Lilliana is an angel with a problem. She knows that she has broken a rule in her job as a Time Traveler and will probably be punished for it—even if she only broke the rules under duress and with extenuating circumstances. But when she is called before Raphael, she is given the worst news. Lilliana’s punishment is to be sent to the Underworld to mate with Azagoth and to be stuck in Sheou-gra forever. Her traveler’s soul will fry up and die under those circumstances. But just as Lilliana is forced to agree to this punishment, she is given an out to escape both Azagoth and to keep her wings and place in Heaven.

Azagoth, the Collector of Souls, is tired of being used by the angels and being alone.  He wants a mate, and he wants a willing one. Like that will happen when he is also known as the Grim Reaper, but that is what he bargains with the next time one of the Heavenly Hosts shows up wanting something from him. He is very surprised to learn that they have a mate for him and that it happened so fast. Not sure what to expect and sure there is a catch, Azagoth makes arrangements for the arrival of his new mate.

Lilliana expects to hate Azagoth on sight, but instead she feels confusion and that leads to passion—one that Lilliana fights with her entire being so she can do what was demanded of her to escape Sheoul-gra. Azagoth isn’t sure he believes that Lilliana is there of her own will, but when she gives him a gift of an hour’s travel to somewhere in the world, he accepts Lilliana and her gifts with wonderment and happiness.  The days are ticking away and Lilliana hasn’t managed to figure out a way to fulfill her escape clause, and now she isn’t really sure she wants to anyway. The unexpected passion that she and Azagoth have found might be worth living in Sheoul-gra, especially with the changes that appear to be taking place in both of them. But before she can decide what to do, Azagoth learns of what she was asked to do and throws her out of Sheoul-gra and his life. Back on the earthly plane, Lilliana may have lost her love, but she still wants to give him something his heart desires, and she finds a way. Broken hearts have a way of staying broken or healing depending upon the parties involved. Can a miracle happen to heal Azagoth’s and Lilliana’s hearts in time to save their love?

Heaven and Hell come together as love blossoms between to lost souls in Azagoth. I totally fell in love with Lilliana and Azagoth as I followed their journey. I really enjoyed watching as they were able to heal places deep inside themselves as their passion grew. Knowing his past, I could understand why Azagoth acted as he did, but I was very happy when he was forced to see the truth and not a betrayal. Lilliana had me as I watched her give Azagoth his wish even as her heart ached. Azagoth is a love story filled with the joy and wonder of falling in love while showing the pain of misunderstanding and separation and a pure happiness of acknowledged love.  I’m really hoping a certain archangel will get what has been coming to him for a few books now in the near future.

Harvester risked everything to protect the four horsemen and keep the world from falling apart and just when she should be thinking it was a job well done, someone informed her father, Satan, that she was a traitor to him and her time in hell has just become very, very real.

Reaver is an angel who fell and then regained his wings through his quick actions and helping the innocent.  He also learned, belatedly, that he was the real father of the four horsemen and he is quickly trying to catch up on all the time with them that he lost all these years.

When a family get together of Reaver’s children families happens and someone uses it to hurt several of them, he wastes no time trying to find what happened and who was behind it.  The trail to those answers seems to lead to getting Harvester away from Hell and back into the Earth realm.  While his children do not believe that Harvester would harm them or their families, Reaver isn’t sure about anything right now.  All he knows is that rescuing her won’t be easy because of their past history, and of course getting out of Hell is never an easy thing.  Harvester wants nothing to do with Reaver, but when she learns about what has happened to the four horsemen, she is totally behind him and so their dangerous journey begins.  Along the way, answers to questions they never even dreamed of asking show Reaver and Harvester that the passion between them was always there and meant to be – even with the ups and downs of fate and a meddling Archangel. Reaver and Harvester might finally be able to have the forever that should have been theirs so long ago, but only if they can get past the last of the betrayals that seek to tear them apart once and for all.

Neither Heaven nor Hell are safe when two Angels who risked everything find out about betrayals against them and re-discover a passion that was always theirs in Reaver.  I have wondered about both Reaver and Harvester through both of the series that they appeared in, Demonica and Lords of Deliverance.  I knew that there had to be major history between them and was there.  I just couldn’t believe what both of these amazing people had gone through and yet, when they had a chance to finally have their forever after, nothing, and I do mean nothing, was going to stop them.  I was torn because I wanted to rush through the book and yet I didn’t want their story to end either.  I found each and every turn held my attention and the way Reaver and Harvester found their passion again and they fought for it by all means possible had me cheering for them.  I cheered even louder when Reaver and Harvester were able to return something that had been taken by the most horrible betrayal.  At the end, I found much more than one happy ending and proof that all the characters I have loved in both series would do just fine – even with the ups and downs that faced them.  Reaver takes hold of you and just won’t let go from the first page until the back cover is closed the last time.
