Leslie North’s The Tycoon’s Convenient Bride is a sweet and sexy read. A tropical vacation leads to a blistering relationship filled with a special surprise, speedy wedding and an HEA. Billionaire Anthony Charles Harrington V travels to Fiji to come to terms with the path his life is headed down.  He’s 32 and according the family he must marry and produce an heir by 33. When he goes home he must enter an arranged marriage.  Nurse Diana Tinsley is in Fiji on a relief mission. One misunderstanding leads to the hottest week of her life! Fast Forward two months and Tony opens the door of his castle to discover Diana…two months pregnant.

Tony and Diana sizzle as they reignite the passion between them but both are uncertain about their future.  Their journey is fun and angsty. I enjoyed these two characters. They dealt with emotions as I can imagine a lot would in the situation. The Tycoon’s Convenient Bride is a great short read. It will keep you interested until the end. I was able to read in one sitting. If you are a fan of instalove and surprise babies you will most likely enjoy Leslie North’s The Tycoon’s Convenient Bride.

Chase Holbrook is an NBA star that is not only known for his stats but also has a reputation as a player with the ladies. Chase and his teammate, Tarek, are chasing a point’s record, so to make it more interesting they bet ten thousand dollars to be celibate until the winner is announced. The only catch is that they need a monitor to make sure the other doesn’t break the rules and this person is to be with them the whole time unless they are on the court. Chase chooses Tarek’s mom while Tarek chooses the team mascot for Chase, the only problem is that Chase can’t stand mascots or the woman in the suit. For whatever reason she is always giving him a hard time, but the more time he spends with Willow the more he realizes there is more to her then just her smart and sarcastic mouth.

Willow “Bolt” Bend loves being the team mascot for the Pittsburgh Alloys, it makes people happy so how could she not enjoy it? She might not have much money and just got evicted but she has a loving family who supports her and a big heart. When Chase asks her to be his monitor she has some conditions of her own but also it’s a chance not only to see if there is more to Chase than she originally thought and to get the bet money that Chase offered her to help her nephew fulfill his wish.

Celi-Bet is my first book by Leslie North and I was surprised how much I ended up enjoying it. I haven’t read many basketball romances so when I saw Celi-Bet I wanted to give it a try and I am so glad I did. Honestly what I liked most in this story was the characters, Chase came from nothing and has worked hard to earn the money he has and Willow had an overall good heart, with what little she has she gives away to the homeless or anyone in need. She is the most selfless heroine I think I have ever read about to date. I loved how Willow showed Chase that his fame can do more if he sets his mind to it and that he can truly make a difference even if it’s something as simple as giving away his shoes.

Celi-Bet was a funny and emotional read and there were many moments that I went from cracking up to tearing up. The one thing I would have like to see more of was the basketball, sure there was some court time but the main focus of Celi-Bet was really the bet. The romance was a little on the slow moving side, but I really loved the banter between Willow and Chase which in my opinion helped move them along. Overall, I enjoyed reading Celi-Bet and hopefully as this series grows I will fall in love with it even more.
