In childhood Kisin Bey and Razin were the very best of friends, sharing adventures and mischief in equal measure.  As they grew into men everything changed.  Friendship evolved into something much deeper though neither were strong enough to say the words.

Prince Kisin Bey accepted his responsibilities and became the Captain of the Immortal Guard for the next ruler of Pansan, his sister Ceren Beygum.  As for Razin his gifts were revealed and became the apprentice to the palace wizard.

During training exercises in the mountains Kisin made a wish.  With the appearance of an all powerful Pari, the strongest of wizards, his wish was granted.  Unable to handle the yearnings he felt Kisin wished his heart away.

Three years have passed since that fateful meeting.  Where his heart once beat and kept his body warm ice now forms.  In essence the prince is dying and won’t last another winter.  Apathy has replaced emotion.  Kisin no longer cares whether he lives or dies.  But someone does care and he will do everything possible to save his prince.  Razin will find the Pari and make Kisin whole once more.

The Winter Prince is a rich blend of fantasy, unrequited love, and drama.  Prince Kisin and the wizard Razin take readers on an angst ridden adventure where moments of happiness are few and far between.  This unique story is laid out somewhat like an old fashioned fable with detail and imagination.  For Kisin and Razin, love is truly blind.

The town of Wolf’s Paw has a long history as a shifter community.  A safe haven for the paranormals who live there.  Wolf’s Paw thrives as a connected home where people look after each other.  Ironically their main sources of income these days are the festivals honoring their shifter heritage.

A recent transplant is Tom Littlewolf, who works in the town’s popular gift shop/café.  Though Tom is most definitely a wolf shifter he knows little to nothing about his culture.  He doesn’t even shift during the full moon.

One of Wolf’s Paw’s most illustrious citizens is their sheriff Nathaniel Neri who exudes his alpha personality without trying.  Neri is a very popular draw at festivals and reluctantly participates in everything the council can think up.

Using a sarcasm that comes easily Tom manages to keep most people at arm’s length.  For some unknown reason Sheriff Neri has set his eyes on Tom and over time the young shifter has grown fond of him.  The trouble is that Tom is hiding a very big secret, his true name.  Allowing Neri closer poses a problem.  Letting him get away would be worse in the long run.

The Being(s) in Love series brings another excellent story to life in Little Wolf.  A skillful blend of intrigue and romance Little Wolf focuses on a feisty loner and a determined alpha.  The detailed, character driven story is heavy on dialogue – this romance takes patience and resolve.  Tom’s snarky charm works, though at times his mouth goes too far.  Their romance is definitely rocky and absolutely addicting.

Wolf’s Paw is a predominately shifter populated town.  Ever since humans learned of the existence of other beings the town flourished by holding festivals like the Spring Thaw to promote diversity as well as fill the town’s coffers with visitor’s money.

Growing up in Wolf’s Paw as one of the human minority Zeki Janowitz always felt like an outsider.  Small and geeky it was no wonder Zeki was a target for bullying on a regular basis.  His only reason for submitting to daily misery was being able to see wolf shifter Theo Greenleaf in school.  Zeki had it bad for the wolf, yet the moment Theo finally spoke to him he blew it.

As soon as Zeki graduated he left Wolf’s Paw to further his education, to become a full fledged wizard.  With his studies finished Zeki is stopping in town to visit with his father before striking out to find a job.  Seeing Theo again after all these years Zeki realizes his feelings haven’t changed.  He still craves the sexy wolf, but he knows it’s far too late.  What could Theo possibly want with him after all this time, right?

Root for a romantically inept wizard in the latest Being(s) in Love tale.  A Beginner’s Guide to Wooing Your Mate manages to make a convoluted set of rules entertaining.    The shifter rules don’t make sense to the humans half the time and don’t allow for mistakes when the wolf screws up.  A sweet love story, A Beginner’s Guide to Wooing Your Mate allows confusing, frustrating rules to almost derail a romance.  Luckily Zeki and Theo are made of sterner stuff as the endearing mess and a shy shifter triumph.
