Rush by Robin Covington
Series: Mackenzie Family
Published by Self Published Genres: Contemporary
To say that Atticus Rush is an anti-social man is putting it mildly. The ex-Special ops expert has few people he’s willing to stick his neck out for, especially after Lady Olivia Rutledge-Cairn broke his heart.
MacKenzie Security, namely Brant Scott, is someone Atticus respects. Brant braves a visit to Atticus’s mountain stronghold with the news that twelve year old Katrina Hickman’s been kidnapped. Her father is Senator Alan Hickman and Atticus is well aware the man is dirty, but his innocent daughter had a crush on Atticus a year ago when they met.
The one person who can help Atticus is the last person he wants to see, his ex-wife Livvy. Their volatile marriage crashed and burned for all the wrong reasons leaving them both responsible. But that’s in the past and Atticus needs Livvy to help him find out where Katrina is being held. They broke each other’s heart. Maybe it’s time to put the pieces back together.
A sexual bonfire is the best way to describe the main characters in this hotter than hot story. The romantic Rush slowly twists into an exciting, suspenseful adventure. Atticus and Olivia are complex, explosive characters whose erotic encounters literally singe the pages. This fast paced, intelligent storyline gives the couple the perfect setting to right their mammoth mistake. A slick love story, Rush is worth lingering over.
