Gage Chapman excelled on the NRHA circuit with the help of his Paint stallion The Shaman. Being openly gay was a determent to his popularity, especially with the other riders in the circuit.
Once he retires it’s a huge decision, a risky one for Gage to transfer everything he owns from Utah to a new facility for his horses in North Carolina, but it’s the right one for him. Gage pours his life savings into upgrading the barns and all the rest to make a permanent home at Fresh Paint Ranch. With hard work and time the ranch is thriving. Gage’s relationship with Deputy Collin Maddox was also going strong until the trainer realized that his lover has no intention of openly dating in their community.
Word of Hurricane Lauris’s imminent arrival sends the townspeople scurrying for cover. Gage doesn’t have that option however with too many horses and too little time to move them. As Lauris begins to blow in Collin arrives at the ranch. Even though it’s been months since Gage broke things off the flames still burn bright between them. If only Collin wasn’t so concerned with everyone knowing about him they’d have a real chance at a relationship. The power of the hurricane is nothing compared to the strength of their passions.
Charming characters and high drama. Authentic issues play out against a backdrop of Mother Nature’s wrath in Gage and Collin. The first book in an exciting new series focuses on the complexities of relationships and the emotional ties that test love. Believable characters and an engaging plotline make Gage and Collin an excellent beginning. Their story feels real which makes it all the more enjoyable.
