The Captain's Beloved by Scarlet Blackwell
Series: The Captain's Man
Published by Pride Publishing Genres: Contemporary, MM
It was supposed to be a romantic cruise for two until Josh Addison’s lover dumped him just before their trip. The whole thing was already paid for so Josh went ahead. Normally a quiet, introspective man, Josh surprised himself with a ship board fling with none other than the captain. The idea was to get over the hurt and enjoy. Reality was something far different as Josh allowed his feelings to get involved.
For Captain Kane Kessler it’s the perfect job with the best of perks. Responsible for the ship and everyone aboard suits his personality and a string free relationship rounds out every cruise. Just the way Kane likes it.
This time however is different. After Josh leaves Kane feels hollow. Home in his apartment before it’s time to weigh anchor again seems empty. He’s never brooded over a lover before, until Josh. It doesn’t take Kane long before he flies to Anchorage to see Josh. Admitting this time is different is simply the first step.
Emotional conflict wages a war with sexual chemistry in The Captain’s Beloved. The main characters are perfectly compatible sexually – in a multitude of acts from hot to smoking and beyond. Unfortunately they are emotionally stunted, in particular Kane who doesn’t want to be tied down in any way, shape or form. Josh and Kane’s sexual explorations are exceptional; their maturity is a work in progress.
