Three hurting hearts. Too many secrets. One chance to conquer their fears. Six Pack Ranch, Book 6 Over the past year, Travis Coleman lost the two people he allowed closest to his heart. Both gave him ultimatums-then left. Hell if he needs that kind of pain again. Time to move forward without the friends he thought might save him from his dangerous cravings. When Ashley Sims returns to Rocky Mountain House, her rambling lifestyle isn't all she's hoping to change. Travis snagged a piece of her, and while getting tangled in his issues again might be crazy, she hasn't given up on him. Nine months ago, Cassidy Jones walked away to stop his best friend from making a huge mistake. Temptation lingers, though, and when Travis shows up on his turf accompanied by a sensually uninhibited woman, the combination tosses fuel on the banked fire. Passion flares among the three of them, as hot as the summer days. But are they willing to push the limits, and fight for love? Warning: Dirty fighting, dirty talk, dirtier sex-secrets are coming out. Get ready for menage a trois and cowboy-on-cowboy action, with ropes and crops and the kind of relentless love strong enough to set a man free.

Travis Coleman has made some mistakes in his life.  The biggest were letting go of the two people he loves the most.  He wasn’t ready to lay everything on the line before but after months of being on his own he will do whatever it takes to win back the people he loves.

Ashley Sims comes back to town to improve her craft and figure out her feelings for the dangerous Travis.  She would give anything to soothe his pain if only she knew how.  When Travis and Ashley run into Cassidy Jones and learn they will be working together for a few months they make a deal; a couple of months with no-strings fun.  Will they be able to let go of each other when their time together is over?

Rocky Mountain Freedom is wrought with emotion and sizzle.  Travis and Cassidy’s relationship is chilling and sensational.  Ashley brings plenty of heart and calm to their relationship.  Travis, Wyatt and Ashley’s relationship tests the boundaries of everyone in their lives.  I love the way Ms. Arend chose to deal with their situation.  It was a much more realistic spin then most ménage stories.  The title works so well with their story. It is largely about gaining the freedom to love who you want, where you want.

Marcus Landers runs Lifeline, an elite search and rescue team based out of Baniff, Alberta. Marcus used to travel the world saving people, but after he was injured he has trained his team to be the best search and rescue team in North America. When his ex walks back into his life, Marcus is not surprised to feel the heat still arching between them.

Rebecca James recently suffered a terrible loss. Her partner died during a climb and unfortunately Becki is having trouble remembering the events that led to the tragedy. So she has left her previous job to come to Canada to teach others for a bit. When she is reunited with the man who gave her the best weekend of her life her focus becomes centered on experiencing the gift of Marcus again.

As Becki and Marcus get reacquainted will they heal the wounds still haunting them both or will tragedy take the chance at love away from them?

Vivian Arend hits a grand slam with High Risk!! Arend combines strong emotions, stimulating characters, sexy passion and adrenaline filled action to High Risk creating a phenomenal romantic firestorm! Arend has developed her characters brilliantly. It’s obvious the author immersed herself in the search and rescue world. She draws the reader in with her vividly written scenes. I literally felt like I was on the side of a mountain with the characters. I could feel the intensity of the situations imagined by Ms. Arend.

High Risk feels real because it’s doused in characters that are human, they have faults and disabilities but they are true heroes. Marcus lost part of his arm in an accident. I think we need novels that share stories like Marcus’. Men and women that have suffered such loss can be sexy and heroic. We need to start seeing them as a whole and not only seeing what they have lost. Ms. Arend does a wonderful job at making Marcus into one hell of a dreamy hero. Becki is suffering a tragedy and its intense and intriguing watching as she slowly begins remembering what happened. The scenes between Marcus and Becki drip with combustible lust. It’s obvious from the beginning that it’s only a matter of time before these two hit the sheets but can it be more than sex? High Risk is a novel full of healing and heart!

One thing that has always drawn me to Ms. Arend’s work is her ability to create great secondary characters. Ones that you really want to come back to in the next book. She blows it out of the park in High Risk! There are so many outstanding members of Lifeline! I absolutely cannot wait to read about them. I really hope High Passion comes out soon because I think I’m going to go through Adrenaline withdrawal!

High Risk kicks ass! This is the best romance I’ve read this year!

She can’t shift, but she can shake their world. Takhini Wolves, Book 3Caroline Bradley is having one hell of a week. Her wolf lover has sniffed out his mate, making her an instant free agent. Not only that, Takhini territory has been overrun with aggressive bear-shifters electing a clan leader, and the wolf pack is feeling the effects—pushing her diplomatic skills to the limit. Tyler Harrison is a grizzly on a mission. If he’s going to win the majority of the bears’ votes, he needs one final thing: a female companion. The only woman in town with influence over wolves, humans, and more bears than he’d like to admit, is Caroline. Despite the sexual pull between them, though, Tyler’s not seeking a permanent relationship. And Caroline isn’t looking to be anyone else’s political pawn. But she should have remembered that when shifters are involved, changes happen in the blink of an eye. Warning: Billionaire bear hero plus kick-ass human heroine equals a sexually volatile power struggle. Get ready for what might be the naughtiest game of tag that’s ever been played in the great outdoors.

Tyler Harrison is a grizzly shifter in need of a mate if he wants to become a leader.  Tyler doesn’t want to settle down with anyone, but looks like he has no choice at the moment if he plans to avoid a war.  There is one woman that he is attracted to be she’s not interested in starting a relationship with another shifter.

Caroline Bradley is used to hot sex with the alpha wolf of the Takhini pack but when he discovers the scent of his mate their relationship is done.  Now Caroline is on her own and not ready to join in the latest shifter drama concerning the bears but she may not have a choice.  The attraction between Caroline and Tyler is impossible to ignore.

There are a lot of politics at play in this situation. Caroline and Tyler may not have a choice in what comes next for them.  Once they give in their lust there is no turning back. Will they survive with their hearts in tact?

Diamond Dust is a thrilling romance with exciting characters.  I have always been a fan of Caroline in this series. I knew the time would come when things would end between her and Evan the Takhini Alpha.  I really love how protective he is with her even after they end it.  The first meeting between Caroline and Tyler is so hot and hilarious.   At that point you know that this story is going to be fabulous.  These characters are so hot for each other but desperate to deny it.  Caroline and Tyler definitely set things ablaze in Whitehorse.  Diamond Dust is not-to-be missed.
