All it takes is a little death and mayhem to make a spook catcher’s day.Sierra Fox, Book 5Sierra Fox has finally inherited her grandmother’s power to destroy demons, but what good is it when her werewolf boyfriend still lies in a coma? Worse, the decision she’s about to make could save him—but ruin their relationship. If that’s not enough bad stuff on her plate, she’s got a soul to save—the soul of her closest friend, killed by the Lamia that got away.Another untasty side dish: The Obscurus refuse to give up their relentless pursuit, and they’ve upped the ante. Mace is dead set on blowing up the Spook Catcher Council Tower, and the blowback will have devastating effects on Sydney and for Sierra. At least these demon-obsessed freaks aren’t counting on Sierra having a Goddess and a trusty demonic conduit as backup. All of this leads to a one-way ride into the abandoned part of town, where the Obscurus plan to summon Legion. With her demon hunter friend by her side, Sierra prepares for the final battle...because even she knows this will be The End. Warning: Phantasms, wraiths, orbs, demons, all guaranteed to ruin any spook catcher’s day. But you can always count on werewolves, land spirits, and a Goddess. Beware of explosions, demonic obsessions, and the battle that will tip the scales and change Sydney forever.

Sierra Fox is a spook catcher extraordinaire, and she just recently came into her powers gifted to her by her grandmother—destroying demons. But it came at a huge cost with her boyfriend in a coma, which is slowly killing him, and her best friend is on the outs with her. With all this craziness, Sierra has been on the defense, but she is pissed now and about to go on the offense.  She has one advantage in that neither the Lamia, The Obscurus, or anyone else but those around her knows she has obtained her full powers yet.

First up is releasing Jason from his coma and praying that he comes out as he went in, and that he will forgive her methods. Next up is the Spook Catcher Council Tower, but before that can happen, Sierra faces yet another death that hits her hard and only makes her more determined triumph over it all. With the help of Jason, her friends, some friendly demons, and the Goddess, Sierra goes after one thing at a time or as each thing confronts her.  Sierra knows now that no matter how her battle ends, it will be The End when it’s over.  Can Sierra and Jason finally have the time to discover where their passion can lead them, or will the end be their end?

Sydney has no idea of the deadly battle going on, but those tuned into the underworld have chosen sides: Sierra, a determined spook catcher or The Obscurus and those who are helping them try to end the world as we know it in A Stitch on Time. I was rooting for Sierra from the first page and her plan to yank Jason from his coma. I was even more behind her as Sierra lost one more person close to her, and she went on the offensive big time. As I saw each of the loose threads be knotted together, I finally understood how everything tied-in together, and I was even more firmly behind Sierra and those helping her.  While I discovered more loss would be necessary, I was so happy that Sierra and Jason and their love triumphed when all was said and done. There were so many threads and answers by the time I turned the last page, I plan on re-reading the entire series and really understanding each plot line and arc.  While I know that Sierra’s story is over now, I find myself hoping that we may see her again in novellas or somehow just to check in. A Stitch on Time is action packed and full of danger and suspense, yet it still has the time for passion and humor.  An excellent finale for a great suspense filled series.

All it takes is one goddess-affiliated demon to seal the deal. Sierra Fox, Book 4Sierra Fox knows better than to believe the demon-obsessed freakshow has given up on her. She’s settled into a nice routine of living with her sister, enjoying her relationship with a sexy werewolf, and staying on top of work—and always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Predictably, things start falling apart as she’s suddenly swamped with surprise visits and unwanted advances, and someone she despises wants her help. When a spook-catching training session goes horribly wrong, she encounters a man who’s not quite as dead as she’d hoped. Mace is now more than human and still determined to get his hands on her. But not if Sierra accepts the strengthening gifts her grandmother bestowed at her birth. Having the good guys put a price on her head is enough to ruin anyone’s day, but Sierra refuses to give up or give in. Even if it means exercising the last option on earth she wants. But claiming the ultimate power may not be enough to save the man she loves before his werewolf past destroys him. Warning: Phantasms, pookas, werewolves, and demons, oh yes! And a spook-catching heroine who must choose to take what’s rightfully hers—even if it means walking the shadows with a demon.

Sierra Fox has had many changes in the last few months and while she isn’t hoping for everything to be quiet, she is hoping for some time to spend with her werewolf boyfriend, Jason.  That was the wrong thing to hope for apparently because she is suddenly the place everyone wants to be.  Things start going downhill fast when what should have been a simple spook catching / training job turns into a deadly trap with spooks who have much more power than they should.  Sierra learns then that Mace isn’t dead after all and he isn’t human either.  To top it off, she also learns that the spook council is even more messed up than she believed.

If all that isn’t enough, Sierra has learned that she has a price on her head.  The chances of Sierra getting through all of this, even with the help of those around her is slim, unless Sierra finally accept the extra gifts that she has always had.  Sierra leans on Jason while she struggles to wrap her head around everything and learns by accident that her childhood imaginary friend wasn’t what Sierra always believed and that person was more of a loving protector.  All things come together when Sierra finally accepts what’s hers and goes after a group of spooks who are not only praying on children but also might be the solution to freeing her grandparents and others from the patch they have been stuck in.  Sierra knows it’s a one shot trip and if she can’t get in and out, that everyone stuck in that patch, herself included, will be lost forever.

When Sierra finally accepts all that she can be, it’s more than spooks who better watch out in Torn from the Shadows.  I have enjoyed watching as Sierra has grown from just being an independent spook catcher to accepting that her background and heritage gives her the ability to make a difference and maybe just save her corner of the world and those who reside in it.  Of course on the way I have come to love her sexy werewolf, Jason, and all the others who have become part of Sierra’s team.  Yes, the demons have not given up on trying to capture Sierra and her powers, but I know now that they are going to have a much harder time.  I loved how Sierra not only won’t give up on helping those that need her, but that she also will fight fiercely for those she loves.  This book turned out much different than I expected, but I’m looking forward to the next one and seeing Sierra and Jason, proving that they are a couple to reckon with.  No matter if they are kicking werewolf, demon, spook or even witch behinds to protect those that need it.  Torn From The Shadows is a book that takes suspense and passion to the outer limits, while proving to one young woman that she is so much more than she ever imagined.  This book definitely changed Sierra and Jason’s lives and I have a feeling that lots of people are not going to be happy when they start taking names.

All it takes is one freak to turn everything into a demonic ritual. Sierra Fox, Book 3Sierra Fox’s relationship with sexy werewolf Jason Papan is going great, but it doesn’t take a psychic to tell her someone’s out to get her. As usual, though, there’s too much else going on to worry about just another assassination attempt. In addition to the demon-possessed freaks that still want her, a whole new bucket of trouble has been dumped in her path. The half-sister Sierra never knew she had isn’t a typical teenager. Willow comes with supernatural baggage that grows heavier every time someone close to her dies. And the load gets bigger every time the police find the body of another young girl. Now Sierra’s not only dealing with the target on her own back, but the one that a power-hungry woman has painted on her poltergeist-magnet sister. As she finds herself drawn into the thick of a murder investigation, Sierra must face her deepest fears and embrace the darkest of her powers to overcome the looming threat. Or the prediction of her death might just come true. Warning: Spook catching: never gets any easier, neither does trying to avoid being killed by a shadowy organization. Always expect the unexpected—dangerous vampires, poltergeists and demon-obsessed freaks. At least the werewolf is pleasurably safe.

Sierra Fox has had trouble since her last huge battle that involved the Council over spook catchers in getting back in to the swing of thing.  Her assistant won’t acknowledge her existence and there are still creeps out there who are possessed by demons who want Sierra for some reason.  Heck, even the thought of walking into her office makes Sierra uneasy as she would have to pass the office where a friend was killed before Sierra won the last battle.  The only good thing is that her romance with Jason Papan, a werewolf PI, is still hotter than heck.  Sierra just seems to be waiting for the next shoe to drop and when it does, Sierra is in deeper than ever.

Sierra learns that she has a half-sister named Willow when Willow calls and makes an appointment.  Only after their meeting does Sierra learn that Willow has her own abilities as a poltergeist magnet and is on the run from those that want to use her.  Sierra isn’t about to let that happen and with Jason and her grandfather’s help, she begins to sort out the threats to her and to Willow and is a bit amazed to discover that the same people are involved in both.  Suddenly, Sierra and Willow learn they have several power hungry people after them to complete a ritual that must never be completed.  The fighting is turning down and dirty with Sierra trying to keep the targets on her and Willow’s backs from harming them any further all while trying to solve a murder.  When the final battle happens, can Sierra save the ones she loves and end the threats to her and Willow once and for all?

Can a spook catcher/witch and her werewolf lover figure out a way to defeat the otherworldly creatures that threaten them and her friends and family?  On Pins and Needles has Sierra and Jason teaming up again to defeat the truly evil, all while Sierra meets a half-sister she never knew of.  I knew that there would have been some fallout from the last battle, and in this book Sierra begins that chapter just a short time after her last one.  I was amazed when Willow suddenly showed up and proved to actually be not only Sierra’s half-sister, but also in almost as much trouble as Sierra.  I loved how Jason constantly backed Sierra up no matter how difficult the task.  Watching as Sierra battled not only for herself and Jason, but also for Sierra and her assistant, showed me that not even demons or vampires would stop Sierra from doing what she needed to do to protect those she cared for.  While two battles ended well and Sierra was able to give some peace to Willow and others, I could tell that this peace is probably only going to last for small while because other threads are still unraveling around them.  I can’t wait to see the next installment of Sierra and Jason against the world.  On Pins and Needles is action packed with suspense, danger constantly lurking and a passion that is just growing with each day between Sierra and Jason. What a way to spend a few hours of escape.
