The secret is out . . . Vampires do exist! When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it's up to
All Gregori Holstein wanted to do was get his commercial filmed and in the can before someone wanted to stake the star.  However, this wasn’t an ordinary night because the human public had been exposed to the truth about vampires being alive among them by a torqued off girlfriend.  A video has gone viral on the internet and all vampires are scared of what the backlash might be.  Gregori has an idea to calm his workers and when he calls his boss’ office to put it into action, he is requested to come to the last part of a high level meeting.  What Gregori learns there will change his life forever and we all know that forever is a really long time for a vampire.

Abigail Tucker is one of the U.S. President’s daughters.  However, she is the forgotten one, a scientist trying to find a cure to save her mother’s life.  In her search for a cure, Abigail believes that some rare plants found only in China might hold the key.  But there is no way the President will allow one of his daughters to travel to China without serious protection and secrecy.  Still hunting for a way to convince her father to allow the trip, Abigail hears that there are vampires meeting with her father and his team in the White House. Yeah right. Dragged by her sister to check out the “vampires,” Abigail sees the sexiest man she has ever seen.  What amazes Abigail more is that he appears to be looking at her – not her more glamorous sister.

Gregori feels the heavy weight of the entire race of vampires on his shoulders as he goes to meet the President.  He knows his mission, just not what it will take to achieve it.  Gregori has always wondered what happened to the President’s other daughter and is very surprised to learn she is not only all grown up but a serious and hard working scientist.  Their meeting is packed with awareness and shimmering passion.  When the vampires learn what the President wants in return for his help in keeping the vampires hidden surprises everyone – getting Abigail in and out of China safely with the rare plants.  Very doable on the surface; however, as Gregori gets to know more about Abigail the less he wants to let her face any danger.  What starts out as a business adventure on both sides quickly turns into a passionate and adventurous journey where one wrong move can get Gregori, Abigail and their team killed.

Abigail is about to learn that vampires are more than a myth in books and movies and that one of them can be too sexy for his clothes.  Sexiest Vampire Alive takes Gregori and Abigail on a whirlwind adventure containing both suspense and passion.  There was no doubt in my mind that Abigail would have done anything to find a way to heal her mother. However, I could see that believing in vampires was pushing her limits, at first.  Gregori might have been acting like a playboy, but once you got to know him it was obvious that there was so much more beneath the surface.  Watching as Gregori and Abigail discovered each other had me not wanting to put down their story.  I so enjoyed watching their journey into love.  What really had me going in the end was the extent Gregori would go to prove to Abigail the depth and strength of his love. Sexiest Vampire Alive is the best type of love story, filled with suspense and passion with just enough danger to keep you on the edge of your seat.

He intends to wreak havoc on the warriors and the world. Can Hawke save Faith from the demented Maxim? Can Faith save Hawke from himself? Find out in Ecstasy Untamed.

Faith and Hawke make Ecstasy Untamed unforgettable. I love the way Pamela Palmer plotted out this stellar story. The intense emotions brought about by Hawke’s frustrations with his animal and the immense attraction to Faith are phenomenal. I love that this story is so original. I was totally thrown off by Faith and Maxim supposedly being mates. I felt this was a genius move keeping this series fresh and thrilling. I was totally “in” this story from page one. I felt every emotion that Faith and Maxim did. I was angry on their behalf and sought retribution along with them. Most importantly I fell in love along with them. Ecstasy Untamed is a thrill a minute story that packs an emotional punch. Ms. Palmer’s Feral Warrior series is a keeper.

What will happen when Vlad discovers his ex-lover and second-in-command have been playing detective without him?

Jeaniene Frost serves up perfection with her latest Night Prince novel, Twice Tempted. The wait was long for this novel but it was so worth it. From page one I knew this was going to be a great read! I became immersed immediately with Leila and Vlad’s latest predicament. Leila’s feelings are very human and Vlad’s reaction is one typical of a seasoned vampire.

Lust, danger and possessive alpha males make Twice Tempted a first-rate paranormal novel! It’s impossible to miss the immense passion between Leila and Vlad. When these two are alone in a room or alone in each other’s mind the heat between them sparks. I really enjoyed the direction this book took by confronting Vlad’s feelings and forcing Leila to face what she really wanted. The mystery surrounding the latest danger is a good one and it adds the right amount of suspense to the novel. The action sequences were amazing and it was fantastic to get to see Leila embrace her powers.

I get so excited when I get a Frost book in the mail because I know that the writing is going to be outstanding and that her story will take me on a new adventure. Twice Tempted does that and more. Get ready for shock and awe as you flip the pages of the phenomenal Twice Tempted.

Twice Tempted is a smash hit, that’s why I’m Joyfully Recommending it!!

What a scoundrel wants, a scoundrel gets. . . A decade ago, the Marquess of Bourne was cast from society with nothing but his title. Now a partner in London's most exclusive gaming hell, the cold, ruthless Bourne will do whatever it takes to regain his inheritance—including marrying perfect, proper Lady Penelope Marbury.A broken engagement and years of disappointing courtships have left Penelope with little interest in a quiet, comfortable marriage, and a longing for something more. How lucky that her new husband has access to an unexplored world of pleasures.Bourne may be a prince of London's illicit underworld, but he vows to keep Penelope untouched by its wickedness—a challenge indeed as the lady discovers her own desires, and her willingness to wager anything for them . . . .even her heart.

As a young man, Michael, Marquess of Bourne, lost everything in the turn of one card.  Ten years later, Bourne is a partner in London’s most infamous, exclusive gaming hell and has more than doubled the money he lost.  But all the money and land in the world won’t make up for his past mistake.  Only regaining the land that was his inheritance and getting revenge on the man who took it from him will satisfy Bourne.  Now Bourne has the opportunity to take what he wants.  All he has to do is marry Lady Penelope Marbury.

Penelope was raised to do one thing: marry well.  But after surviving the scandal of a broken engagement, Penelope is determined to do more than simply marry the first peer that asks her.  She wants adventure, and Michael is the perfect man to give it to her. Their marriage may be for his profit, but Penelope isn’t about to let her new husband keep her from her quest for excitement.  And Penelope’s greatest adventure of all just might be capturing the heart of her roguish husband.

Sarah MacLean just gets better and better!  A Rogue By Any Other Name captured my interest from the very beginning and didn’t let go.

Penelope, who captured my interest in Ms. MacLean’s last book, Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart, starts out A Rogue By Any Other Name almost at her wit’s end.  Once she would have been satisfied with simply making a good match, but since her broken engagement eight years ago, Penelope has become determined to find something “more.”  Unfortunately, with two younger sisters still unwed, Penelope’s parents aren’t giving her the option of waiting to marry much longer.  I could feel Penelope’s frustration and she is such a smart, funny, endearing heroine that I wanted her to find happiness.  And as odd a match as a lady like Penelope and a rogue like Michael might appear at the outset, they’re actually perfect for each other.  They were best friends in their youth, which helps the pace of A Rogue By Any Other Name, as there is no initial awkwardness.  Indeed, Penelope starts coming into her own when she sees Michael for the first time in years and she continues to grow as a character over the course of A Rogue By Any Other Name.  Neither Michael nor Penelope are the children they once were, but their familiarity with one another brings an immediate sense of intimacy to their story.  Michael, one of four partners in an exclusive gaming hell called The Fallen Angel is very much like a fallen angel himself.  He’s shut himself off from the world for the most part and his quest for vengeance is threatening to destroy him from the inside out.  Penelope is his salvation in many ways, as she’s the one who makes him want to truly live again.  Michael makes many mistakes on the road to finding love, but I adored him and Penelope together so much that I kept cheering for the two of them to find happiness even when their relationship hit its lowest points.

A Rogue By Any Other Name is the first book in the Rules of Scoundrels series and it can be read as a standalone.  However, as I mentioned before, Penelope first appeared in Ms. MacLean’s Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart.  Though none of the characters from that story (aside from Penelope and her family) appear in A Rogue By Any Other Name, fans of Ms. MacLean’s will delight in hearing a brief update on Penelope’s former fiancé, the Duke of Leighton, and Juliana, the woman he scandalized the ton by marrying.

A Rogue By Any Other Name is, quite simply, a wonderful story.  Fans of historical romance — particularly readers who enjoy historical romance along the lines of Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn’s work — will likely enjoy A Rogue By Any Other Name. So if you haven’t read Ms. MacLean’s work… What are you waiting for?

With seven troublesome half sisters to marry off, Duncan, the Earl of Eads, has one problem: he's broke. With the prospect of marriage to the pompous local curate, Miss Teresa Finch-Freeworth has one dream: to wed instead the handsome Highlander she saw at a ball. How does a desperate lady convince a reluctant laird that she's the perfect bride for him? She strikes a wager! If she can find seven husbands for seven sisters, the earl must marry her. Duncan has no intention of wedding the meddlesome maiden, and he gives her a deadline even the most audacious matchmaker can't meet—one month. But Teresa sets terms, too: with each bridegroom she finds, the earl must pay her increasingly intimate rewards . . .

Miss Teresa Finch-Freeworth has no desire to wed the suffocatingly pompous local curate.  Unfortunately for her, Teresa’s father has all but promised her to the man!  What’s a girl to do?  Why, hie herself off to London and propose to the handsome earl of her dreams, of course.  Only Duncan Eads isn’t as eager to wed Teresa as she is him — in fact, he’s a widower with no desire to ever get married again.  Still, Duncan has seven sisters he needs to marry off and no dowry to give any of them, which leads Teresa to strike a bargain with him.  If she can find husbands for all seven sisters in one month, then Duncan will marry her.  The wager itself may sound calculating, but the longer Duncan and Teresa are around one another, the more intimate their game becomes.  And when love enters the mix, both of them have to wonder who will give in first.

How to Marry a Highlander is bright, bubbly, and a whole lot of fun.  Katharine Ashe sweeps readers off their feet with a tale of one determined woman who’s not afraid to risk her heart on the chance of finding happiness with the man of her dreams.  I loved the vivaciousness of How to Marry a Highlander.  The story simply brims with energy as Teresa takes charge of Duncan’s sisters and sets out to find them their own happily ever afters even as she fights for a fairytale ending of her own with their stubborn brother.  The romance between Teresa and Duncan was lovely, though part of me felt like the resolution was a bit rushed.

While I liked Teresa and Duncan, I was charmed as all get-out by Duncan’s sisters, some of whom reminded me of Jane Austen’s Bennet sisters.  It’s no spoiler to say that most of the Eads women find love, but I almost wish one particular couple — Una and Teresa’s brother Toby — had gotten a separate story, only because I loved them so much that I could read about them for ages.

How to Marry a Highlander is loosely related to Ms. Ashe’s Falcon Club series.  Eagle-eyed readers will remember the moment Teresa first saw Duncan, which was in How a Lady Weds a Rogue.  Fans of the series will surely enjoy not only the references to that story, but the brief appearances of How a Lady Weds a Rogue protagonists Diantha and Wyn.  That being said, you don’t have to have read any of the Falcon Club novels in order to enjoy How to Marry a Highlander.  Still, I hope the Eads family reappears in the series because I absolutely adored all eight siblings and the men and woman who love them.
