SHE FOLLOWS THE RULESAs the Collegium council's top sheriff of the southeastern United States, Valeria Banning doesn't just take her job seriously, she takes it personally. So when a notorious traitor wanted by the authorities suddenly risks his life to save hers, she has to wonder why.HE BREAKS EVERY ONE OF THEMAs a mage, Griffin is sworn to protect innocents from dark magic, which is how he finds himself fighting side by side with the beautiful Valeria Banning. But when the council finds out the two have been working together, they're both left running for their lives-from the law, the threat of a ghoul takeover, and a possible Collegium mole. Word Count: 90,000 words.

Valeria Banning is the top sheriff of the Collegium Council, a group who train mages to protect both other mages and mundanes (normal humans) from rogue mages and dark magic, for the southeastern region of the United States.  Valeria takes her job very seriously, so when she wakes up from being hurt and finds herself being cared for by the very man she replaced – a mage who went rouge in the Council’s very chambers, Valeria is forced to make a choice. Does she take try and take in Griffin or does she search for the answers on why a rouge mage would help the woman who replaced him and is sworn to bring him down?

Griffin Dare will admit to going after one of the Council members in their chambers and then being on the run from the Council and its top forces – well some of them anyway.  However, when he came across Valeria after some ghouls had grievously harmed her, he couldn’t turn his back on her and used his contacts to help her heal.  Griffin knew that when she woke up it would take some fancy footwork to keep his identity hidden.  Some might consider Griffin rouge, but he had reasons for what he did and he is working with an underground to find the answers on what is going on within the Council and the college.

Valeria knows there is something wrong with what she has been told about Griffin and what her eyes are telling her.  The killer mage would not risk his life for mundanes or her and yet Valeria has watched Griffin do this time and again.  When attacks brings even more questions to Valeria about what is going on within the Council, Valeria joins  with Griffin and his underground and is amazed at just who else is part of this group.  Both Valeria and Griffin know that in order to get their final answers, they will need to clear Griffin of the serious charges against him. Knowing the risks, they start the formal process when Griffin is captured by the Council and is about to be sentenced without the chance to defend himself.  Valeria brings in the big guns to help prove the deceit and betrayal that has invaded the Council and the college.  Mages everywhere are going to be affected by the results of this hearing for a long time.  It will also determine if the love that Valeria and Griffin have will ever be given the chance to bloom.

Lies, betrayals and deceit bring two top fighters together only to discover that love can appear anywhere and at any time.  Renegade has fast twists and changes that kept me on the edge from the minute I opened it up.  I loved how both Valeria and Griffin didn’t just believe what they had been told about the other but also paid attention to the actions the other did.  While I wasn’t surprised that these two strong people fell in love, I was amazed at how they could risk everything to protect the innocent and each other.  I also loved how fresh this plot was with mages and ghouls and mundanes and fighting magic with magic.  Renegade is a paranormal without the normal standbys to lean on and I found it to be a quick paced and action packed love story with two lead characters that I fell for over and over again.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out and what surprises it will bring.

THE RETURN OF THE HIGHLANDERS: BOOK 2Four fearless warriors return to the Highlands to claim their lands and legacies. But all their trials on the battlefield can't prepare them for their greatest challenge yet: winning the hearts of four willful Scottish beauties.IRRESISTIBLE DESIREAlex MacDonald is known for his skill as a warrior, his prowess with women, and his vow to never take a wife. But now his chieftain has asked him to make the ultimate sacrifice: wed Glynis MacNeil, a lass famed throughout the Highlands for her exquisite beauty-and defiant ways.Familiar with heartbreak, Glynis refuses to fall for another handsome scoundrel. Yet when Alex's past sins force an unlikely union, Glynis gives in to temptation and becomes his wife. Will their newfound passion be strong enough to fight the enemy that threatens their home, their clan, and their very lives?

Alexander Ban MacDonald is a renowned highland warrior. He’s not only known for being a warrior. He is also known for his philandering. He may not be married yet but he doesn’t mind messing around with married women. It has gotten him thrown into a dungeon or two in his life. When his Chieftain requires him to get married for the sake of the clan Alexander is adamantly opposed. Alexander is against marriage all together, content with his life as it is. However, things get a little tricky when Alexander meets the one woman in all of Skye that is willing to go to great lengths to avoid marriage.

Glynis MacNeil has been married once and she was lucky to get out unharmed. Glynis wasn’t totally unscathed; she left the marriage with a rather sullied reputation. Now, her father is determined to marry her off once again to solidify his place among the clan before the inevitable war. She is determined to never be under the thumb of another man. Glynis is ready to make her own path in life without a man until Alexander walks into her life. They strike up a quick friendship that could be so much more but neither wants to tie the knot.

Alexander’s future is laid out before him. The path he must follow contains three women. One bringing danger, one deceit and one desire, Alex will need to figure out whom to trust with his heart and his life. As Glynis finds herself in a predicament, she calls on her friend Alex for help. Will Alex be able to help Glynis without becoming more attached to the bonny lass?

Woo hoo! The Sinner is utterly delicious. Alexander has been a randy man traipsing from bed to bed and it’s catching up with him. He has only ever seen the negatives of marriage but he is now realizing that there might be some good sides to being married as well, unfortunately it may be too late. Glynis’ first husband was a despicable lout. Her aversion to marriage is completely rational. I love that both Alex and Glynis are so opposed to marriage and yet there are so many sparks between then it’s impossible to ignore. The journey they go on together is one filled with potholes. They both made me mad at times but that is part of what I love about books. When they can strike an emotional chord in the reader it makes the experience so much sweeter. Laughter, lust, love and peril turn The Sinner into a thrilling adventure.

Bravo Margaret Mallory The Sinner is perfect! I am so in love with this story right now! One thing I love about Ms. Mallory’s writing is that it is so beautiful. Ms. Mallory has created these massively intense circumstances and thrown in one-of-a-kind romances to take the reader on a fantastic journey. Alex and Glynis are sexy, stubborn and simply divine together. The Sinner should not be missed!

Things get a little more complicated as Dallas and Nikki take their relationship to a different level. Can Dallas and Nikki find love amidst murder? Will they survive the madman behind her ex’s death?

Don’t Mess With Texas is a hoot! Christie Craig manages to bind humor, suspense and romance together fabulously in Don’t Mess With Texas. Nikki made me laugh so much. I really like that even though she’s in a dire situation she still manages to laugh. Dallas is a sexy stud out to right the wrongs of the world. Nikki and Dallas set the town on fire with their passion and their fussing. I love the relationship between Dallas, Tyler and Austin. These guys bring tons of humor but the bond that ties them together is much more serious. I can’t wait to read more about these honorable gallant men and the investigation surrounding what brought them together. I’m also in love with Nana! I hope she makes a reprisal in the next book! Nikki’s relationship with her nana is so special and tells a lot about her character. I just adore Nana’s straight shooting attitude. Don’t Mess With Texas has emotion, suspense, witty banter and a clever plot that will keep the reader engaged.

All her life, Josselin Ancrum has been trained for combat, hoping to exact vengeance for her heroic mother, who was killed fighting the English. When asked to spy for the Scottish Queen, Jossy joyfully accepts. But when a handsome stranger rescues her from sudden danger, his charm distracts her from her mission. On the surface, Drew MacAdam may appear to be nothing more than a carefree champion, but his heart harbors a dark secret: This Highland hero is actually a skilled English soldier with a hatred for war and for the Scottish. Yet from the moment he meets the feisty Jossy, he's captured by her fiercely loyal heart. He's determined the honey-haired lass will be his ultimate prize - until the tragedy of their entwined legacies is revealed. Are these star-crossed lovers to be divided by their pasts? Or will they be...seduced by destiny?

Josselin Ancrum and Drew MacAdam were both orphaned by a bloody war between the Scots and the English. Raised by warriors each take their own unique path that will one day land them right back where they started—on the battlefield. Will they leave the field bloody or in love?

Josselin lost her mother to war. She was raised by the men who brought her mother’s body home. They taught her all the important things in life: reading, writing and sword-fighting. It is her dream to fight in her own battle one day. She may just get the chance as she soon finds herself in the service of Queen Mary.

Drew is a shining star in Scotland’s budding golf world. If anyone knew he was an Englishman pretending to be a Scot he’d be executed for sure. His uncle’s raised him to be a warrior but fighting is the last thing on his mind. Golf is his greatest pleasure until he meets a bonny lass pretending to be a man. Drew may have trouble controlling the fiery lass but he can’t help finding her irresistible. However, he knows she’s hiding something from him. Can he get her to spill her secrets before it’s too late or will her service to the Queen land her in an early grave?

Seduced by Destiny is a lovely romance filled with witty banter and wily swordplay. I found myself laughing out loud at Josselin and Drew’s repartee. These two are definitely equally matched in wit and they have enough chemistry to light a fire. The story starts off with an emotional wallop. It does become a lighter story but you never forget the serious undertones. I enjoyed Josselin’s indecision during the story because I felt it was very realistic. Essentially this is her first foray into a world outside the shelter she grew up in. She takes on serious issues that perhaps she’s not ready for but she thinks she is. Josselin is deciding what she wants from life and how to get it. Drew knows what he wants but has yet to stand up to the people he loves and tell them what he wants. I think their story is beautiful and entertaining. Josselin and Drew sparkle together. They have fun and learn along the way what’s really important to them. Seduced by Destiny is a sidesplitting swashbuckling good time.
